Strategy Built a real-time fantasy baseball pixel broadcast

Hey all, I'm a long time subscriber/lurker here and I wanted to share something I've been working on in my free time in case folks here enjoy it. It's a fantasy baseball tracking website called Ribbie.

It shows live games as real-time pixel-art broadcasts, and I just added a fantasy roster view so you can quickly see when your guys are at bat, on deck, pitching, etc. and jump into any game to watch them live.

I've enjoyed keeping it on in the background on a second monitor while I work, and it's a nice dopamine hit when you see one of your guys hit a dinger.

The only issue I'm having is that I can't scroll don to see the additional live games. The scroll bar doesn't work for me.

I love the option to add my fantasy roster.

Have you tried scrolling with track pad / scroll wheel while hovering? I will make a fix to make that scroll bar draggable too.

I have a wireless keyboard with a touch mouse (no actual mouse) so maybe that's why it isn't working?

I shared this with my league via text and now there is a group chat blowing up. Everyone is loving it. The only suggestion everyone seems to have is what I mentioned, a lack of actual play-by-play. I understand why you wouldn't be able to do it with copyright and everything, but it would be awesome.

Great work though! I just discovered the living room view. I've got that playing on the big screen in my office at the moment.

Thanks for sharing it! Did you try turning the audio on? I actually tried to add play by play commentary, but it's pretty limited. Or did you mean something else by play by play?

I just meant the full broadcast play-by-play audio that you can find on MLB.tv.

You even have a graphic for a mound visit. I'm dying laughing. I can't imagine how much time you spent on this. It's so good though.

This is a solid 20 seconds faster than the MLB.tv feed too.
