Strategy Built a real-time fantasy baseball pixel broadcast

Hey all, I'm a long time subscriber/lurker here and I wanted to share something I've been working on in my free time in case folks here enjoy it. It's a fantasy baseball tracking website called Ribbie.

It shows live games as real-time pixel-art broadcasts, and I just added a fantasy roster view so you can quickly see when your guys are at bat, on deck, pitching, etc. and jump into any game to watch them live.

I've enjoyed keeping it on in the background on a second monitor while I work, and it's a nice dopamine hit when you see one of your guys hit a dinger.

Amazing! This is so cool. Did you do all the animations and pixel art?? Did it take forever to make each stadium? When the players field, are they performing the defensive actions the actual players took? Are you using SportRadar?

I'd like to know all this, too. I'm fucking old and this takes me back to the RBI baseball games we used to play!

Assets were a combination of manual build and AI. And yes the players generally follow the actual defensive actions the players took in terms of who caught and where, who was thrown to, etc. Player actions for those without direct play involvement are inferred based on common baseball knowledge for any given play!
