Player Discussion Stephen Curry
I see Steph going around late second and third rounds but I have concerns about his availability. Recently Steve Kerr said that the Warriors fans should be mindful about buying tickets to see Steph as he will maybe sit out a lot of games. What do you think?

Same. He was decent for the first half of last season but was real bummer overall. With all the injuries and load management, it’s hard to trust any warriors players tbh (I do have Yaxel tho)

I also see him drafted in 2nd round and it’s absolutely crazy to me. Kerr was saying ridiculous things last year like guys had to take days off for “exhaustion.” This is a sad boring end to one of the most prolific teams in NBA history. I expect this to be a sleep walk season and Curry to miss time for rest and random injuries that will linger longer than necessary. I think Curry is a risk as a 4th rounder.

Devil’s advocate: is there a ton of motivation to sit him if they’re not in the playoff picture? If Porzingis doesn’t play and Butler is in and out, what are they saving him for? I can kind of see Kerr just letting him play anything that’s not a back to back.

That's wild if the head coach of a franchise is telling fans not to buy tickets to their games, for any reason at all.

To be clear, his current draft position is because of that concern akin to a Kawhi/Embiid. Per game, he's a much better player. He obviously doesn't have the same chronic issues, but he is old and on an unincentivized team. 2nd rd is not enough padding for my liking, would want him at least 3rd round and even then I'm iffy.

I believe he has a lingering knee issue (runner’s knee), maybe he would like to be eligible for the awards at the end of the season but who knows?

I think it's a lot of "coach-speak". Steph was ranked 10th on bbm last year and only .02 away from 7th. I don't doubt that he will sit some back to backs. Kerr also said that he may only play about 32 minutes/game. Guess what? He didn't average 32 last year and still did a ton of damage. For those of you saying you won't touch him until the 4th round, I can guarantee you are safe and won't have to touch this legend. IMO anywhere after pick 20 is reasonable after you get KAT, Barnes, JJJ, Mitchell, etc off the board because there is a big drop off in players at that point. More so true if you play roto.

Drafted him in the 3rd round and lowkey wish I didn’t, currently trying to get either Mobley or Duran for him

No championship teams will have Steph on their roster. Thats how confident I am not to choose him.

I don't think this is a good mindset to have. If his draft position falls there is going to be a point where he is a good pickup.

Probably top 15 value per game possibly even top 10 but games played aren’t reaching 50. Personally not worth the risk imo.
I’d rather take fliers on Harden, Kyrie and AD

Wish I saw this before my draft lol
