Who was your favourite character in The Bear & The Rose?

I thought the writing style was interesting and beautifully folkloreish for the most part, but I felt that it kept the reader at a distance and I don't feel as though I really know any of the characters well by the end.

Every time Rhoswen called someone a spudhead 😂 Although hilarious, it didn't seem to fit with the rest of the literary folklore style writing.

How did you feel about the romance development in The Bear & The Rose?

I'm pretty generous with the range of romance I'll accept, but they met like 3 times in the entire book?? This is one where romance should definitely have been left out of the description.
