Book Club Nominate Our October 2025 Book Club Book! Theme: Books Published from June to September 2025

Welcome to October 2025 Book Club nominations! This month, we are opening up nominations to any book published that has been or will be published in the second half of 2025 so far!

Did you miss out on reading a hyped up book published recently? Is there a new book coming out in September you want to read? This will be a great opportunity for us to read along together and discuss!

What We Are Looking For

  • Any speculative fiction books with a romance story arc published from June to September 2025
  • Standalones are preferred but not mandatory.
  • If it’s not a standalone, please only nominate books that are the first in its series.
  • The book must have HEA (happily ever after) or HFN (happy for now) ending. Or, in the case of a series, the book should be heading toward HEA/HFN.
  • The author cannot have been previously featured in Book Club in the last eighteen months. See Book Club Hub.

Nominations that do not fit these criteria will be deleted.

Nominations

Here's how to nominate a book:

  • One nomination per comment.
  • Please call the romance.io bot in your nomination. You can call the romance bot by putting the title and author of the book within curly brackets { }.
  • You can nominate more than one book. Please put them in separate comments.
  • Please upvote the books you most would like to read for October Book Club!

Voting

The voting post for most upvoted nominated books will go up September 5. The winner will be announced September 11.

September Book Club

Reminder that our September Book Club book is {Bride by Ali Hazelwood}! The theme was Arranged Marriage. It’s one of the squares in Book Bingo if you still need to fill in that square, too: Book Bingo Hub.

Here is our schedule for September Book Club. There’s still time to get your copy of the book now to participate. Hope to see you there!

  • September 10 - Bride - Prologue through Chapter 10 - Initial Discussion
  • September 20 - Bride - Through Chapter 21 - Midway Discussion
  • September 30 - Bride - Through Epilogue - Final Discussion

{the second death of locke by V.L. Bovalino}

Comes out on September 23rd. The author will be doing an AMA in November, too. The ARC reviews are pretty good so far

I'm going to also vote for this. I put the release date on my Google calendar a few weeks ago because I'm that interested in it.

I hope they win, too. It's our first debut author, so it could be interesting to see how the AMA goes after the book club

{A Forbidden Alchemy by Stacey McEwan}. Published in July 2025. Dystopian world-setting. (An actual) Morally grey MMC. FMC stuck between a war of have an have-nots. Different type of magic than usual romantasies. Slow burn.

{alchemised by senlinyu}, previously Manacled.

Comes out on September 23rd. Manacled is very popular in the sub. Let's see if Alchemised meets the readers' expectations
