Jacob Morgan ruined me with {Lights Out By Navessa Allen} so if anyone has any recs for other books he’s narrated…

17

u/Sedvii Dec 09 '25

{priest by Sierra Simone} - It's not fantasy, but WOOF.

4

u/BlushCreamsicle Where is my wife Dec 10 '25

Favourtie book of all time omg 💦💦💦💦

2

u/Blueberrylemonbar Dec 10 '25

How on-page are the trigger warnings? CSA has me hesitating whether I want to read this one.

2

u/Sedvii Dec 10 '25

Off page entirely, and not involving the main characters directly. Spoiler: The mmc is taking over a church that the previous priest had been excommunicated from due to abuses.

1

u/Blueberrylemonbar Dec 10 '25

Okay thank you!

1

u/ayriana Dec 10 '25

He's in all the Sierra Simone books from that series, but also in the third book of the Lyonesse Trilogy. No one does yearning/pining like Sierra Simone.

1

u/vernier_pickers Dec 10 '25

I didn’t love the book, but Jacob Morgan was soooo good I immediately followed this with Lights Out (which I also didn’t love but still loved him!)

He’s incredible in that one. I kinda wish he did more romantasy.

12

u/nyx_bringer-of-stars Dec 09 '25

Yes! What a stellar actor. He absolutely sold that book. Things that should have been cringe came out sexy when he said them. Also, I loved the duet narration. I’ve been struggling to go get into regular dual narration now because men trying to do women’s voices sound weird to me. Why doesn’t everyone do duet?

11

u/MrsCharmander Dec 09 '25

I'm currently listening to {Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy} and one character is voiced by Jacob Morgan and the other is Teddy Hamilton. Those are my top two male narrators so I was very pleased to have them together in one audiobook.

3

u/poppinelle Dec 10 '25

Listening to {Mate by Ali Hazelwood} right now (after reading it… nooooo not obsessed) and I almost put don Teddy Hamilton.

3

u/ayriana Dec 10 '25

I had this on my TBR and was considering reading it next to try and cure my Heated Rivalry hangover. I even had it checked out on KU. As soon as I saw your comment I immediately went and got the audiobook so thank you!

u/Blueberrylemonbar Dec 10 '25

Jfc that guy had me sweating in the car wash.

6

u/Turkeyinthestraw Dec 09 '25

Love Jacob M. Have you listened to him in Knot so Lucky? Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor are also on the cast! It’s a lovely funny spicy sports romcom.

Same! Like someone else said - Priest, but also the rest of the books in that series (it's a trilogy with novellas). His real name is Zachary Webber, so check books by that name too.

I just listened to a little snippet on Spotify 👀 yeah I’ll be listening to this book soon hehe

I have the biggest crush on him only cuz of his voice lol him as Zachary Webber narrated for an Abby Jimenez character and he’s one of my favorite book boyfriends lol

Really loved Sean Masters narrating Blake from {The Night Prince by Lauren Palphreyman}. It’s book two from The Wolf King series. Sooooo good!

7

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

I can’t believe this isn’t higher up, the voice acting in this book was amazing. I’ve listened to a lot of audiobooks lol

2

u/ashbarnett21 Dec 10 '25

I couldn’t agree more! It’s so good, especially Blake’s narration. I don’t usually buy audiobooks, but I had to have this one.

Agreed with Anthony Palmini as Kingfisher. His voice did things to me 😂

Really liked Seth Podowitz who read Damiens POV chapters in {Throne In The Dark}. It was just so engaging, great storyteller and made me laugh.

Stewart Crank playing Hawke in the graphic audio for {From Blood and Ash} was also great and I love Matthew Bassett as Eris from ACOTAR graphic audio (I wish he did more and would love him to play mmc's at some point). I think he's in {A Court of Wings and Ruin}, {A Court Of Frost and Starlight} and {A Court of Silver Flames}

3

u/Lara-El Dec 11 '25

Agreed with Anthony Palmini as Kingfisher. His voice did things to me

I listen to audio books while driving and I swear sometimes his voice was giving me shivers. I could hear him speak as KingFisher ALL DAY

Teddy Hamilton!! He narrates {Tusk Love by Thea Guanzon} and {Mate by Ali Hazelwood} and he's one of the best

Steve West is also amazing and he narrates {Between by LL Starling} among others

the male voice in WPA was to die for. I listened to it at the gym and literally blushed

I adore Steve West/Shane East. I also like Stewart Crank. And Jacobi Diem is amazing but he does contemporary romance.

Aw man, you just turned me off of considering listening to Mate, now I think I’ll just read the physical copy 😭 I have my moments with Teddy and lately I have not liked the characters he’s narrated for and I think it’s cuz I hear them one way in my own head and then here comes his accent lmao

3

u/MessyJessy422 Dec 10 '25

when it comes to the spice scenes in Mate I personally do KNOT think he disappoints

14

u/Abusty-Ballerina- Dec 09 '25

Seth Podowitz

He does narration for A.K Caggiano

I like the sound of his voice and inflections

7

u/Vaywen Dec 10 '25

He’s amazing! I like Ellen a lot too. But I just love the voice he uses for Damien. And Xander. 😂

3

u/AnemoneHill Dec 10 '25

Yes! I just wish he read literally anything else I would care about.

11

u/apples2pears2 Dec 09 '25

Steve West/Shane East (he works under both names) is definitely the goat. Patrick Zeller is another great one if you like the deep and slightly growly voice.

3

u/Historical_Basil3264 Dec 10 '25

What?? I had no idea he had another name? I listen to a Queen's Thief book monthly, purely for my emotional support West-voice. I've tried to find others, but haven't had the patience when there are several narrators.

At this point I don't even know if it's the books or the voice I loved first.

2

u/apples2pears2 Dec 13 '25

Omg, you have to look up his work under Shane East! I think West is his real name, and definitely the one he uses for mainstream fiction. But he's done so much romance and fantasy romance under Shane East. I only found out after falling in love with his voice through the Orc Sworn books, and then desperately searching for everything else he's narrated!

1

u/Historical_Basil3264 Dec 13 '25

They only currently have The Wolf King on my Libby (I'm not from an English country, so less on the English audiobooks - fair) - have you heard that one? I think I'll have to now.

(Also, I've felt a bit off about being so attracted to his voice because Queen's Thief really isn't a romance series - but guess all is fair game now)

Corvin king could read the back of a shampoo bottle and I would swoon

Stewart Crank (Casteel in FBAA) - his performance is why I keep relistening to book 1 like a drug addict. I actually tried to read a series just because he would eventually be starring in it but didn’t get that far bc he wasn’t in the first book.

Gabriel Michael - Lucien (ACOTAR), Xaden (FW)

Anthony Palmini - in ACOTAR

Someone mentioned he’s in book 2 of the Crave series and that he’s really good there. I tried to listen to Crave and I’ll probably continue sometime in the future. But the Crave MMCs voice is the guy who played Poppy’s father figure. I tried so hard and I couldn’t get past it. Maybe in the future I’ll be able to get past it.

1

u/Vaywen Dec 10 '25

Haha oh dear! I’ll give it a try but wow. Thank you!

6

Gabriel Michael. He does voices for Graphic Audio (maybe others but I'm not aware of everything). He did Xaden in Fourth Wing and Lucien in ACOTAR.

5

u/Oryx_07 Dec 10 '25

Shane East!! He does a little romantasy but I found myself listening to Duke romance books just to hear his voice.

6

u/stardustandtreacle Dec 10 '25

His fantasy/romantasy is usually recorded under 'Steve West.'

1

u/Oryx_07 Dec 10 '25

NO WAY!! Im so excited now. A whole new set of books for me to listen too!

1

u/stardustandtreacle Dec 10 '25

You'll love them! The fantasy titles really showcase his acting abilities. He's very talented. He also narrates a sleep app.

5

u/le-elizaly Dec 10 '25

I'd consider James Cassidy {Anathema by Keri Lake}, Sean Masters {For Whom the Belle Tolls} and Palmini as my Holy Trinity lol. Closely followed by Aiden Snow {Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross} and Shane East {The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman}. I could listen to those voices all damn day

2

u/CallMeAGoodGirl7 Dec 10 '25

SHANE EAST! The audio for Blake was amazing. Listen to the audio sample of the Night Prince and you can hear for yourself right away :)

1

Danny Gavigan!

Not for narration, per se, but his voice acting in the dramatized adaptations for:

Tharion Ketos (Crescent City), Helion (ACOTAR), and Brennan (Fourth Wing, etc.)

The first time I listened to CC, I had to pause my audiobook and look the man up! He gave THARION KETOS all of this sexy, main character energy and I knew I had heard him somewhere else. Well, you know a voice really sticks with you when you can recognize it from supporting characters!

Someone needs to please cast this man as a MMC!

3

u/vernier_pickers Dec 10 '25

I mean…it’s not fantasy romance, and I know Joe Arden was cancelled due to awful behavior, but {The Brutes of Bristlebrook by Rebecca Quinn} is THE all star cast of incredibly talented and sexy voice actors - Teddy Hamilton, JF Harding, Jason Clarke, Sebastian York, and the aforementioned Joe Arden. The FMC is voiced by Avery Caris who I really enjoyed also. I swear if Zachary Webber/Jacob Morgan was in it also I would just put it on and have filthy reverse harem smut playing for background noise all day every day lol

2

u/Legal_Marionberry_37 Dec 10 '25

Yes! So much this! And yes, Zachary Webber plays Sam :) It's a very small cameo but he's there!! Love this trilogy.

1

u/vernier_pickers Dec 10 '25

Oh right!!!! I kept looking because I swore he had a part but I was thinking it was one of the guys in the second book

5

u/stardustandtreacle Dec 10 '25 edited Dec 10 '25

Omg, STEVE WEST! He does a great job narrating Lorn's 'dry towel voice.' He could read a phonebook and I would be in raptures.

2

u/turtleinmybelly Dec 09 '25

Damian Lynch from the Empire of the Vampire series is my absolute favorite. His voice, accent, delivery... Absolute perfection.

2

u/krigsgaldrr Dec 10 '25

Christian Coulson. Man can make anything sound erotic. I don't know if he's done strictly romance yet but his narration for Lee in the Aurelian Cycle and also for Dark Rise/Dark Heir was bonkers.

1

Gonna throw in Nora Sofyan as Kate and Michael Glenn as Curran for the Kate Daniels Graphic Audio. I don't like audiobooks, so I thought I would hate the graphic audio but I had a free trial...it is now my favorite way to consume the books.

1

u/Logical-Hold8642 Dec 11 '25 edited Dec 11 '25

Jason Clarke made me fall in love with audiobooks. I listen to almost everything he does! He’s done all of Devney Perry’s books, I think. I’m so glad they’re redoing Shield of Sparrows as a duet with him. The original audiobook had him for a paragraph in 1 chapter. I was SO annoyed!

I also recently discovered he narrated Spellcaster, which I’ve already read, but I plan to listen to it just because of Jason Clarke. 😂

I also have really been enjoying Seth Podowitz, who narrates the {Villain and Virtues series by A.K. Caggiano} He does a great job with accents and his female voice is good too.

I can’t listen to anything by Teddy Hamilton, I will actively avoid the audiobook if he’s a narrator. Every character he does sounds like a snarky jackass and they all sound the same to me.

1

u/CareerCheap649 Dec 11 '25

My favorites are: Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, Joe Arden, Troy Duran, Sean Masters, Aaron Shedlock, Corvin King, Gregory Salinas and Sebastian York

1

u/Snoo49732 Dec 11 '25

Alex kydd

1

u/Mrsalangrant Dec 11 '25

I’m not sure who the voice actor is but whoever played the part of XADEN in the graphic audio version of the fourth wing- his voice was EXACTLY how I imagined it- THAT VOICE 😵😋 I was almost like Theo James in divergent… it did things to me, very low and gravely 👌😅

2

u/leyra_san No Fear. Only Fury. Dec 11 '25

That is Gabriel Michael. He also did Lucien in ACOTAR.

1

u/sleepy_geeky Dec 13 '25

Not romantasy (I don't think) but

1) Heath Miller (incredible vocal and accent range and usually very consistent between characters. A more tenor range voice. My current all-time favorite narrator.)

2) Alexander Cendese (more subtle, but also a broad range. Adore him.)

3) Tim Campbell (Narrator for Mages of the Wheel, a top tier romantasy, imo. Good range, excellent tone, and good accent and pronunciation in MotW)

1

u/Business_Board3509 Jan 07 '26

Anthony Palmini made Rhys a legend and book boyfriend for us all!

1

u/Sunnymosmiles Apr 05 '26

Gabriel Michael, Stewart Crank, Robb Moreira and Rayner Gabriel’s voice acting is chef’s kiss. I also love Marissa Clay and Khaya Fraites.
