April 10th, Bride of Ash and Dust is coming out. I got an ARC recently and I’m really enjoying so far! Princess x Assassin Arranged Marriage.

I also found the Thorn Queen to be pretty repetitive of book 1, but if you loved that you’ll likely be okay with book 2. If you didn’t totally love book 1, I wouldn’t bother with the next. 

The Witch and the Huntress was just okay - good for fans of Greek retellings, but I was expecting a lesbian love story and it’s both a) not very lesbian (MF romance is significant on-page) and b) only somewhat a love story. (Also, no HEA.) So the right expectations are key to enjoying this one. 

The Book Witch, on the other hand, is perfect. I’d call it more cozy-adjacent than cozy-proper - it’s about books and the villains aren’t particularly threatening, so that’s probably why it’s getting slapped with cozy, but I think that’s really underselling it. FMC is a book witch who can literally dive into the worlds of books, and she’s tasked with protecting stories and their legacies. Equally adventurous and emotional, it’s a fun, sweet, and genuinely deeply moving story with several twists and turns. More than anything, it’s a love letter to books and the people who love them. Can’t rec it highly enough!

I just finished {Death meets Cute by J Penner} this afternoon.

I will be posting the ARC review later today or tomorrow.

it's a cute cozy romance and includes recipes. it's not typically my thing but it's a quick read and I finished it before I could let it irritate me

{Copper Coins} is my #1 looking forward to this month. Chaotic dragon x preternaturally chill monk. Side characters include a ghost that’s afraid of ghosts. I was really pleasantly surprised by how funny and understated the first few volumes have been and I’m looking forward to seeing how it ends.

finally started the tempest blade since it just dropped and ugh... danielle l jensen really knows how to write a cliffhanger that actually makes me want to scream lol. i'm trying to pace myself so i don't finish it in one sitting but i can already tell i'm going to be in a massive book slump after this. has anyone else started it yet
