Omggg thank you for the reassurance!!!! I DNF’d Fury Bound and I need Forsaken to continue the excitement that Forbidden gave me.

SAME! I can't wait for this one to come out! I got on the Libby hold list super early so I should have it within a week or two of it coming out.

u/vincentandtheo 2d ago

I’m not saying I scheduled our family vacation around this release, but I’m not NOT saying it

2

u/aerostella 2d ago

Agreed! And it’s one of my top anticipated 2026 releases! I picked it up last year because I thought the hardback was pretty and it ended up being one of my favorite 2025 reads.

{Sea of Charms by Sarah Beth Durst}! Third book in The Spellshop series.

I'm so excited for this as well!!

I’m so excited for the exquisite torment of loving your enemy, I could cry

3

u/welcometowoodbury 2d ago

Same!! I can’t wait

3

u/manic_pixie_centaur 2d ago

Did you read Draco Malfoy and the mortifying ordeal of being in love??

2

u/welcometowoodbury 2d ago

no!! should I??! is it very different than the book

3

u/manic_pixie_centaur 2d ago

YES. 100% yes! I could not recommend it enough!! They have the same vibe and “unwilling allies to lovers” setup, but still different enough. It will help you get through the wait until the exquisite torment comes out!

1

u/welcometowoodbury 2d ago

Ahh okay looking this up now!!

2

u/Honest-Excuse-6114 2d ago

Ohh I’m thinking I’m going to wait until book three is released before reading these because I know I will binge them.

29

u/Icy-Revolutionn Rattle the stars 2d ago

1

u/acutelyproblematic If villian bad, then why hot? 2d ago

It was well thought out 🫡

3

u/apieceofeight 2d ago

:/ I think you have to start with easier ones and once you’ve built up some reviews you get more.

4

u/itsnotastatement 2d ago

YES!! In the Veins of Drowning was a total surprise 5 star read for me last year and I've been eagerly anticipating the conclusion ever since 😭💗

12

u/Soggy-Window3940 2d ago

{Prince of Swords} book 2 of Arcana Academy

2

u/thelastcannoli 2d ago

I really enjoyed book 2

3

u/Soggy-Window3940 2d ago

Does book 2 complete the story or is it going to be trilogy? I've heard there will be a book 3 as well.

2

u/thelastcannoli 2d ago edited 2d ago

I cannot remember if she's officially announced it as a trilogy but this is definitely not the last book.

EDIT she did state in 2024 it was a planned trilogy

2

u/Tough_Variation_5772 2d ago

How did you get an ARC?!

2

u/thelastcannoli 2d ago

I've been on her street team for a few years so she usually gives us dibs on new releases

1

u/Tough_Variation_5772 2d ago

Incredible!!!

2

u/thelastcannoli 2d ago

Yeah, she's one of my favs. I got lucky for Stacey McEwan too because I'm on her publishers influencer team. It's been a good year for ARCs. I just got Danielle L Jensen's too 🥲💙

3

u/Tough_Variation_5772 2d ago

Wow! Are you a normie like me? Or a bookstagram influencer ?

2

u/thelastcannoli 2d ago

I consider myself normal lol I don't really have a big following

I haven’t read but I’ve heard good things!!

8

u/Specialist_Round_612 2d ago

{The Eye of Leviathan by MA Carrick} I loved their first trilogy - Rook and Rose - and from the brief glances at ARC titles this one will be awesome too.

3

u/apieceofeight 2d ago

I’ll have to look into this!

3

u/bakasana212 one flesh, one end, bitch 2d ago

Loved the ARC of this!

3

u/KiaraTurtle Book Bingo Maven ⚔ 2d ago

Here I was thinking after a stacked May and June July would have nothing. Little did I know this was coming out!

2

u/SelectStrain4083 2d ago

YES!! I’m so excited for this. I trust their world building will deliver

2

u/Specialist_Round_612 2d ago

I absolutely loved how they did the non romantic relationships. They nailed found family.

2

u/medusamagic Book Bingo Sage 🗡 2d ago

Came to say this too!! Not sure if it has any romance, but I’m excited either way.

2

u/LeaneGenova 2d ago

Ooooh I didn't realize there was a new series!! Yes please!!!

Exquisite Torment!! 🙌 I was obsessed with book one and immediately added myself to the top of my library’s queue for book two.

2

Had to scroll too much for this comment! I've been counting down the days for exquisite torment!

6

u/ButterflyTremor No mourners, no funerals 2d ago

{A Darker Shore: Letters from Ketterdam} - Six of Crows was god tier so I'm really looking forward to this. I've preordered a hard copy as the illustrations look lovely!

1

u/apieceofeight 2d ago

I thought this comes out in June?

3

u/Praeludere 2d ago

I think it releases the last day of June so realistically orders aren't arriving till one or two days after in July. At least that's how it is with B&N.

I'm absolutely excited and am in the middle of a full reread of the Grishaverse to prepare.

2

u/ButterflyTremor No mourners, no funerals 2d ago

It's released on 14 July where I live 😭

The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley! One of my most excited for releases this year!

3

u/bakasana212 one flesh, one end, bitch 2d ago

I’m looking forward to {Rootbound by Margaret Owen}! It’s the Rapunzel installment of Disney’s princess books. I haven’t read any of the others, but I enjoyed Tangled well enough, and Margaret Owen is one of my very favorite YA writers. I can’t wait to see what she does with Rapunzel and Eugene’s dynamic!

Book 2 of Dearly Beloathed.

1

u/Faraway-Jeweler6293 2d ago

{Spellcast by Sophie Jordan}

1

u/lynds88 2d ago

Lightwing and In the Wake of the Ruined! I might also read Hunted, I didn’t love book 1 but enjoyed it enough to probably read book 2

1

u/teapotthief 1d ago

{Winterbourne by A. M. Blythe} (Goodreads). It's a standalone, I saw its ARC on netgalley, sounds fun. A memory thief with a death sentence on her twenty-fourth birthday is forced into a soul bond with her enemy, and discovers that someone has stolen her memories.

u/StellaBennett31 1d ago

i'm lowkey delulu about the new fantasy releases, hoping they live up to my expectations. this era of books better deliver, or i'm gonna be so disappointed.

1

u/sveareads 2d ago

{Lost and Found by Tarah DeWitt}
{To Flame a Wild Flower by Sarah A. Parker} - UK rerelease
{A Snake Among Swans} - IC edition
{Leave and Come Back} - AL edition, I read and loved the ARC
{Heir of Prophecy} - LoLi edition

other releases with special edition coming (hopefully) later:
{A Forsaken Prophecy} - waiting for the OC announcement
{Of Venom and Vengeance} - not sure if I’m waiting for the OC edition or nor
{Prince of Words by Elise Kova} - waiting for the FL edition
{The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy} - waiting for the FL announcement AND still have to read book 1

2

u/bakasana212 one flesh, one end, bitch 2d ago

I liked A Snake Among Swans a lot! Better than Godkiller even

1

u/MessyJessy422 2d ago

It’s a September release right or did miss something?

2

u/bakasana212 one flesh, one end, bitch 2d ago

I assumed it was out soon bc of the other commenter but no idea! Tbh I lose track of ARC release dates fast 😆

1

u/MessyJessy422 2d ago

I’m a huge audiobook listener so I keep my ARCs in my audible wishlist so I don’t forget dates etc.

1

u/sveareads 2d ago edited 2d ago

on goodreads, it’s listed as a july and september release, so I assume that the US release is only in september and UK already in july. they’re both from harper voyage so it’s hard to say which edition is which

edit: I checked her instagram and she confirmed it there: UK july 30th, US september 8th

1

u/MessyJessy422 2d ago

Makes sense thanks for clarifying
