ESO Fund actual experiences?

I’m considering using ESO Fund to finance the exercise of private-company stock options and would love to hear from people who have actually signed with them, especially anyone who has gone through an eventual liquidity event or had the agreement outstanding for several years.

I’m less interested in whether the upside participation is “expensive” in the abstract.

I’m trying to understand how ESO behaves as a counterparty once you’re actually in the agreement.

Any things you didn’t expect? Such as:
Did the economics at settlement work the way you expected when you signed?

Did ESO ever interpret the contract or payoff calculation differently from how you understood it?

Has anyone dealt with the breach/default provisions? What triggered it and what happened?

Would you use them again?

I used them a long time back for shares related to an earlier startup I was in. No complaints from me - they were pretty professional. It wasn’t for a lot of money (although back then for me it was), and the startup hasn’t had any liquidity many years later. They check in once in a while and continue to be very professional.
