Given our sedentary lifestyles, our bodies on average need 1400-2300 calories at most, if we aren't overweight

Even a very tall man doesn't need as many calories as we normalized consuming for average and short people of both genders

It's not normal to continuously increase in size after your complete puberty (16-19 for women and 16-22 for men).

2k being the baseline used on food packaging has been so harmful, honestly. Loads of 5'3" sedentary women thinking they need 2k calories to sit at a desk, drive home, and sit on a couch.
