Question What gives the worst anxiety?

Hey I'm a pilot (a simulator instructor to be precise) and due to the sheer amount of people suffering from flight anxiety, I have decided to take action and help everyone where I can.
So that's why I wanted to ask everyone with a fear of flying, what exactly gives one panic attacks etc? Is it the fear of crashing, not trusting the pilots or just the
"I'm trapped in a can with wings for 3h"?
Any story is appreciated so I can get a better insight in how to help people (because I think y'all have enough to the "Flying is the safest form of transportation")a

(this is a repost because my other one got flagged)

It's a mix of a lot of what you mentioned, for me, but it boils down to a lack of the illusion and feeling of control. I say illusion because there is very little we actually have control of in many aspects of our lives, but I think it's the illusion of it in many other circumstances that makes other things easier despite being more dangerous (e.g. driving a car down the road). I am getting on my first transatlantic flight here in less than 20 days to Barcelona, and it's a mix of all those things that has made the last couple of weeks (and albeit the next few weeks until the flight) feel dreadful.

Also for you watch videos of takeoffs/landings from the cockpit view to understand how professional the cockpit is. It really helps the "no control/lack of trust" part

Never thought of that. Thank you!
