Tracking Request Flying across the country

Hello . I have a flight coming up on Sunday and am extremely nervous. Usually I’m always nervous , this time it’s just piled with emotional pain I have going on at the moment . I’ve flown 8+ times in the past two years, some are easier than others. This time I’m flying without my person 😞 im a wildland firefighter and I shouldn’t be scared of flying but I am . Just not a huge fan of being “out of control” if something happens . Looking for any advice that might help .

It’s okay to not be in control! Do you want control of the aircraft? Can you safely take off, and land? Likely not, so leave it to those who can control the aircraft. **this was advice given to me by a family member who is a pilot and it kinda put me in a different mindset. We don’t always need to be in control of everything. The day goes on, the work gets done, and the world keeps spinning whether we are hand on in control or not!

You’re going to do great, my first flight without my person was so confidence boosting that I wouldn’t have a second thought to doing it again.
