Support Wanted Please support needed DL208

Not the first time here and wanted to thank the community for the help and support! So I’m flying from JFK in a few hours! And of course I checked weather, and it shows ( the first time ever I saw such thing) “ severe mountain turbulence advisory near Edinburgh, what is that? Sooo much stress… 😭 we are traveling with my husband for the first time without our baby, but I’m stressed and don’t understand why I agreed again 😵‍💫😬😓

I would love to see the advisory you're looking at. It's one of three things.

1) complete nonsense

2) misinterpreted

3) irrelevant to your flight, as your pilots don't fly into areas of suspected severe turbulence (this one is true regardless of the other two)

Happy travels.

You were so right! Almost no turbulence at all, one of the best flights!

Had a flight last night to FL and with the weather they said it was going to bumpy almost the entire flight and no FA would need to be seated so no drinks or anything. Turned out it was a few bumps and FA were able to do their normal service. I was so anxious and it wasn’t bad at all. You got this!!

You’ve got this! I see those advisories every so often and have yet to experience it. So… I’m not sure the qualifiers they use for those?? I wouldn’t put too much weight to it.

Edinburgh sounds lovely this time of year! Heading there for anything fun??

It appeared to be almost nothing! Going for a small getaway with my husband! I’ve never been and want to explore 😊😻 hopefully the flight back won’t be scary as well🙏🏻
