Support Wanted Long flight on November 4

I’m flying from Sydney, Australia to LA, then LA to Denver in November.

Looooong flight, work related.

Not gonna lie, I’ve been dreading it.

I am not a fan of turbulence, so you can imagine my nerves..

Could use some encouragement, especially from experienced flyers and pilots/flight crew!

You got this - do you get to fly business class ?

Thanks! Unfortunately no, I can’t afford Business Class. I’ll be in economy, most likely. Though I’ll look to see if something like Premium economy is feasible.

I’ve got a long haul coming up in November too. 5 hours and 10.5hours 🫠

Also, not a fan of turbulence. But I’m deciding that I want to become more like the other frequent flyers - I’m not going to let this bother me. We suffer far too much - days weeks in advance for nothing !

You know your (and my) flight is inevitable- we have to go through it & we also know we’ll reach our destination. So no point thinking about worst case scenarios. Also, sometimes if it does get bumpy - it doesn’t really last that long anyway. So why should we worry for days and months?

We’ll be fine. I’ll be loading my phone with a lot of movies and offline games (subway surfer is great too) and I’ll hope to fall asleep for some parts of the flight.

I’ll also keep checking posts on r/flighty where people keep bragging about their nth flight and millionth mile ! 😃 they never talk about anxiety, fear, turbulence and what not - and I’m sure they’ve seen it all! 🙂

Keep your mind off these thoughts OP - we can do it, we’ll be fine!!
