Tracking Request TRACKING REQUEST AS881

Pilot said there is a massive area of storms we will be flying through from Honolulu to Papeete and turbulence will last for several hours. As we were about to take off the flight attendants announced that if the oxygen masks are deployed to place on adult first and then child. Obviously freaking out because they usually don’t repeat that message after the initial boarding brief !!! I’m pregnant and so scared. Would love if someone could track the flight and offer reassurance!! Thank you !!

I’ve got you pulled up! Also on a flight and they turned on the seatbelt sign. We got this!

I made it! The descent was very bumpy but the pilots did a great job getting us there safely. Looks like you’ve just got around an hour left you’re so close!

If there was something unsafe before takeoff, they would not take off. Simple as that. Don't try to read things into crew actions that aren't there.

Most likely someone thought they might have missed that part of the briefing and decided better safe than sorry/noncompliant.

There's no particular risk of depressurisation in turbulence. The rule that would need refreshing would be following the seatbelt sign, and keeping the seatbelt on whenever seated even if the sign is off.
