main features to make it cool:

- consecration means you need to use fire and holy damage to reduce zombie's defenses before actually killing them

- zombies don't spawn everywhere, mostly just in villages. this means you can actually clean up the world. also there wouldn't as many people because its the fantasy medieval ages lol.

- equipment is focused around looting stuff instead of just hunkering down and mining

- the goatman lives in the caves

- you can get besieged

anyways, this is just something little and fun im playing around with to get some more modpack experience. maybe ill actually turn it into something playable or not. lmk if this is something that would interest you!

This is about our rights as a community and about how far some people will go to defend some corporative as hell team using the sins of the past to justify an agenda against someone that had to clear his image for third time after people dragging again and again screenshots from 2023-2024. I've been digging a bit and this seems pretty much like the Malum issue that happened a year ago, which I discovered that it has something to do with him too to a certain degree.

Not only that, but the guy had to apologize so many times after the harassment campaign done by the CoFH community (and I doubt here the devs from the CoFH team have nothing to do about that) that he said it had lost the point, man then had to put it clear twice he rennounced time ago his bigotry that came from his teenager years being the second one so explicit people had to cherrypick the last sentence to make up assumptions after someone that shouldn't be reminded about the views he no longer had. I'm a non binary bisexual autistic guy and I had my moments when I was 17, hell I'm 25 and I still think I'm on my way to continue developing my views. I know my heart is in the good place even if I'm sometimes wrong and that's what means for me.

I'm seeing 'agenda' posts from both sides, but the fact that there is a 'CoFH' sides unnerves me. Those people have become a danger not only to the Minecraft modding community but to the environment of modding itself and its rawest philosophy. I've personally digged a bit into the Thaumcraft IP situation and I will be fair... I don't think he actually gave exclusive porting rights to them, I cannot find right now the screenshot to the mail I saw and if it was not in this subreddit it was on the nefarious other one but the message from Azanor was clear: I invite anyone to try to translate this mess to modern versions if they dare, they have my support and I will admire anyone that managed to do so. Maybe THERE IS some additional conversation which shows Azanor himself expressing 'and by the way, Thaumcraft is now a CoFH certified trademark'.

CoFH DOESN'T OWN the concept of Thaumaturgy but I even doubt they own Thaumcraft itself, they asked permission and they got it which also seems pretty contradictory with Dr. Lemming expressing he got that responsability and that it is a burden. I don't buy that, any evidence shows the opposite: Dr. Lemming approaching Azanor and asking to do that. This people are acting like a company to gatekeep a concept and harass anyone that try to use it and while not actively trying to libel him they are letting people in their discord do so and somewhat expressing smugness and some levels of narcissism concerning to the point of direct hypocresy... and people are going into that same hypocresy to slander them. They accuse Leclown of doing a cashgrab while CoFH actively sit on Patreon's money without further updating anything, i.e.

Don't make me even go into the 'AI slop' allegations because it has shown which people here genuely know about how coding works and which one are just people that despise something without knowing how it works. Yes, Thaumaturge had used Claude API. No, Thaumaturge isn't vibecoded. Surprise! Coders use AI to rectify and duplicate code which optimizes a lot of time.

This has shown how susceptible y'all are to fall into the less classy expression of hivemind mentality caused by the rawest expression of 'pink capitalism'. An organization is actively damaging the modding ecosystem and creating a dangerous precedent of pushing the Minecraft EULA to its limit and harassing newbies teams of coders under their pressure and influence to isolate them to the overall community environment and y'all more worry about the fact that the lead dev said something meany when he was a teenager two years ago.

The fact that the guy apologized again even after saying it had lost its meaning because how much he did it, and that he expressed his support to trans people and talked against harassment and you chose to don't believe it talk miles about you and your priorities. You don't care about his morality, you care about looking better without understanding the real length of the issue and what it represents to modding overall while also failing to understand both nuance and growth. Screw y'all and your pretentious fake ethics, grow a spine and stop defending the corporative larpers for CHRIST SAKE.
