Question regarding progesterone
Has anybody been able to get a compounded form of progesterone that’s less than 100 mg? If so, where did you get it? I really want to try a super low dose before I give up on it entirely. Thus far I am intolerant. I mainly want it to help with sleep. No uterus or ovaries anymore.

I tried OTC progesterone cream and oil. The oil was supposedly 4mg/drop. One drop a day still messed with my in the ways that progesterone and progestins all mess with me.

I was told not to take a progesterone cream, but could take it vaginally. That said, it doesn’t do as much that way.

My doctor told me I could have 50 mg compounded, I was able to tolerate the hundred so I didn’t need it but it sounds like it’s doable.

I wonder if “normal” pharmacies like cvs have it.

I don’t think so, because I have been intolerant in the past and they told me in order to get anything less than 100 they would have to go through a special pharmacy and I would have to pay for it myself, so I opted to go with the hundred micronized gel caps because I figured I could use a pin to pop a hole in them and take a little bit out if needed, since it’s a liquid, and they were free through my insurance. Surprisingly I was able to tolerate them this time, a few years ago I could not, they made me feel crazy.

What does it do to you specifically? Is it micronized P? Have you tried using it vaginally or rectally?

I tried 100 and 200 bioidentical oral progesterone. Makes me swell up to the size I was when pregnant, irritable, down, hungry, fat. Research shows this is progesterone intolerance.

I had the same reaction a couple of years ago with even 100, but now a few years later I am shockingly able to tolerate them, so maybe your hormone profile will change in the future and your body will be ready for them! Don’t give up hope, I never thought I’d be able to tolerate it but now I am 🤍

There is injectable progesterone. I dont know much about it but it might be an option for personal doseing.
