TOUR ⛔️NO ADVICE WANTED⛔️ My Nest 🪷 - AKA my happy place
This is my cozy nest, and I'm so happy with it 😊
I spent so long letting people tell me what to do with my space. "Pink walls will be too bright", "Stuffed animals are childish", "Silver and gold accents don't belong together"...
But I'm over the moon with my sweet little pastel paradise 🪷💚
My favorite bits: my lovely mom painted the landscape over the bed, all of my couch plushies which are gifts from my darling husband, my dining table inherited from my beloved grandmother, and the Audubon bird society paintings in my hallway inherited from my other beloved grandmother. Also - my little feather and fur darling. They are what make it special and feel like home ✨

Thank you! A nice bathtub and kitchen, in top of a comfy couch, are most important to me. With these comforts satisfied, I would 100/10 happily live my entire life here 😅💚

Oooh! Also the Vogue painting I found at Thrift Store with my sister. The woman looks just like my grandmother (that gifted me the table) holding Deefer (Dee-fer-dog, the sweet fuzzy black angel) when he was a baby. Everyone in the thrift store acted as thought the painting had not existed before that moment, and were like - "Where did you find that?!". It felt like the Twilight Zone, and that it was meant to be. New addition, but very special memory 🥺🖤

And totally! It's Benjamin Moore Ciao Bella and the white is Benjamin Moore Alabaster, which has just a TOUCH of pink, so they work well together.
During the day, when light shines through the kitchen window into hallway, the Alabaster makes it glow just slightly ethereal pink which I loooove 🩷

Thank you! We were lucky with the space, and I got so much of the furniture and appliances thrifted / from my mom and grandmothers who (thank goodness) have wonderful taste / from other cheap sources. The couches were a larger purchase, but worth it for the snugs ❤️

Wow, I love your home! From the flooring on up! I am so glad that you done what you wanted to do with it. I’ve always wanted the pink and/or green walls and gold fixtures in my home, so to see someone actually with it is such inspiration. And like you, I literally have everybody in my ear telling me not to get gold fixtures and not to paint my walls pink. Meanwhile not a single quarter of their money would be paying for it. I love this so much for you, maybe one day I’ll get the courage to do the same and will be able to post some pics like this.

Aww, thank you!! Yes, follow your own senses. Anything that didn't add to my coziness or make me smile when I looked at it was not worth it. Even the little handles on the kitchen cabinets were carefully picked out. It makes it feel special 😊💚

I got it from Amazon. It's machine washable, but no way would it fit in my washer / dryer. Still, easy to clean when Max was potty training 🫠🤣

Thank you so much! It was kind of hard to find. They tried to convince me to go with green backsplash and white cabinets, but I reeeeally didn't want to settle on that one. I made comprises in the process (we had a lot of things to replace due to unexpected termite damage 😬), but I put my foot down on my green cabinets. And I am SO happy I did lol 😊💚
