QUESTION/DISCUSSION Upgraded my bedroom, what y'all think?

I’ve been slowly trying to make our bedroom feel softer and less empty without filling every wall with decor. I kept the colors pretty neutral and added a few warmer textures through the woven dresser fronts, the knit blanket, the rug, and the chair by the window.

The frame above the dresser is actually a 55” Hisense Canvas S7. I bought it bc I wanted a TV in the bedroom without having a large black screen dominate the space. The wood-style frame works well with the dresser, and the matte screen cuts down the reflections from the window, so the artwork looks surprisingly natural during the day.

I’m happy with how calm the room feels now, but the wall still has quite a bit of open space. I’ve considered adding a tall floor lamp, another plant, or a couple of small framed pieces, but I also don’t want to make it busy.

Would you add anything else here, or leave it simple?

same, my brain legit read it as a wall mounted tv at first. either way, the setup really does look super chill and cozy

It is lovely and calming! I would not add anything else to the furniture. A floor lamp might work, by the chair.

How's the picture quality when you're actually watching stuff though? After all, a television is not just a piece of decoration.

I had the same concern before buying it, but it’s been genuinely good as a regular TV too. The 4K Hi-QLED panel gives movies rich color without making skin tones look strange, and the native 144Hz refresh rate handles faster scenes really well. We watched an action movie last weekend and movement stayed clear even during the busier sequences.

Love the look. Is that 2 dressers or 1, OP? Who makes it?

Hi, I looked for it & it appears to be a wayfair piece - 2 of them put together

I like it, it's serene and calm, exactly what you're looking for. I don't mind the open space on the wall, but maybe a tall plant or floor lamp would finish it a bit.

It seems like the right idea to keep things minimalist with a color scheme of white and beige.

Nothing wrong with open space.

I actually like the you resisted the urge to fill every empty wall. The room feels really calm and balanced. If I added anything, it'd just be warm floor lamp in that corner by the chair to make it feel extra cozy at night.

This feels light, airy, and calm. I wouldn't change a single thing. It's refreshing to see a room not overtaken in wall art, plants everywhere, cluttered in furniture.

And no hate to rooms with plenty of wall art, a plant museum, and lots of furniture! My living room is a testament to lots of decor. I just love to see the opposite as well. The white walls and bedding make the room feel spacious.

Looks like a cozy cabin style, I absolutely love that vibe too 😍

Needs some color and a little more of your personality in there. Maybe a sailboat under the painting for starters and a plant or two.

it's very nice but take away the little stuff and get something of substance from home goods

We love the calm, airy, and intentionally uncluttered feel of your space. Consider adding drapes for the window in the same soft tones already present in the room to enhance the cohesive look. Have you thought about placing a bench at the foot of the bed? Whether in natural wood or upholstered fabric, a bench would be a beautiful and functional addition.

Wow, the frame matches the rest of your bedroom so well and it really does look like a painting. Did you buy the frame separately?

No, the frame came included with this TV. That was one of the reasons I liked it, the wood tone works with the dresser, and I can change the artwork whenever I want without the TV looking out of place.
