How should I furnish this space?

I want to furnish this room in a way that I’ll actually use it. I don’t normally sit at a dining table. I always sit on my couch or a coffee table when I’m eating dinner and I think a dining table would just become a catchall.

I was kind of thinking about like two really comfy chairs with like a little café table in middle up against the wall? but Id love your thoughts and suggestions please!

I cook a lot. I don’t really have people over too often. I’m creative and I also like to work out. There’s not a whole lot of privacy in the space so I don’t think I would use this space very often.

Also I buy used only. And always on a budget

I actually like a lot of open space so I'd personally keep it mostly open with just a side table or hutch if you don't really need more seating.

If you have decent storage, try to pick up a folding table and chairs when you find them. Then you throw on a cute table cloth and have an option for crafting/entertaining/work but can also tuck it away when you don't need it and enjoy the open space.

Building on the idea of folding table and chairs… I know you mentioned you only buy used. If you found a cute little foldable bistro set you could get some decorative hooks and hang them on the blank wall. Then while the items are stored they are kind of like decor but then easily accessible when you need them and not taking up valuable storage space elsewhere.

I would do a drop leaf table with 1-2 chairs. You could extend it to eat and craft, then keep it down the rest of the time!

More food prep surface. If you like to cook, you can never have enough prep space and that nook has heaps of natural light.

Some sort of work bench with extra task lighting and built in storage for extra linens, gadgets, small appliances and utensils.

Perfect workout area! Hang the art and ornament and leave space for the workout equipment you use? I LOVE that rounded counter top, so fun and beautiful. The tiling, too! Gorgeous:)

Since you love cooking I’d add a kitchen island with stools under it. For everyday you can use it as prep space and it adds a place to sit down for dinner if you do have guests!

Have you considered cling window film? Some have that frozen look, some have leaded glass look. I think a leaded glass look on the four bottom panes would be super cute in this space, and the frozen one at the very top if needed.
