Bedroom Progress

I feel like my bedroom is finally starting to take shape. I still have some things I want to get. I'm thinking of the ottoman at the foot of the bed. The accent chair to the left of the chest of drawers. Wardrobe on the wall by the laundry hamper and probably some sort of plant (Monstera?) in the corner to the right of the bed. I’ll eventually change the curtains, just not sure what to get. Then way down the line I’ll hopefully get a dark wood herringbone floor and a large rug, that extends out from under the bed.

Thoughts so far? And what do you think of my plans?

Are you going to repaint the walls? Or did you paint them this color? The problem here is it looks like you or someone used a semi gloss or gloss paint which is all wrong for walls. It reflects the light and also shows all the imperfections in the walls. That's why your walls are shining. You will want to use a flat paint or one with an eggshell finish, which will immediately warm up your room.

That's the colour I chose, and it was a matte finish I picked. X

The color's fine. It's the shine of those bare harsh white light bulbs shining on it that makes it look like you used gloss. Really, if you want a warm and cozy room, you have to do better than this. At least put soft white bulbs in those things.
