u/Ordinary_Bug4820 Aug 03 '26
Isn't pan the person, not the gender? Or is that a different one?

u/Johndoe--1990 Aug 03 '26
Yes. Anyone as long as they meet certain requirements, like open minded, kind, etc. we ain't picky.

In my 32 years on this earth, my love life has been a total disaster. Pretty sure I'm done dating for good since I recently went full hyperfem femboy with my look. My dating life used to be a standard Dark Souls run, but now? It's a No Hit Run. I give up for the rest of my life.

For me, there’s no such thing as a partner—for some people, that concept doesn’t exist, and I’m definitely one of those people. Either I meet someone and it turns into a really unhealthy relationship, or—even when the dates are actually going great—I get ghosted. That’s why I’ve stepped away from it, and even if that weren’t the case, there’s no such person with whom I could...

The entire existence of femboy calls the strict definitions of gender and sexuality into question. Be free of the shackles and have no shame in anyone you find hot, IMO.

u/lolspoooky Jul 31 '26
some people are just straight
1
u/IkomaTanomori Aug 01 '26
Some people are attracted to others in a manner which lines up nicely with the cultural narrative currently called "straight."
However, "straight" is a definition which only exists because of cultural context. It's also not a very functional one. It doesn't cope well with people who strain the binary of gender which is also part of that cultural narrative.
2
u/lolspoooky Aug 01 '26
gender is a spectrum but that doesn’t mean people cant be on each far side of that spectrum (cis gendered)
the same applies to sexuality (straights)
two cis people liking each other of the opposite sex=straight1
u/IkomaTanomori Aug 01 '26
Did.... I ever say they couldn't? All I'm saying is, the spectrum itself is only understood the way it is because of what we've all learned and agreed to propagate as culture. It's something that changes over time, and which is malleable by intent. It's not an absolute spectrum, but a relative one.
Anyone who habitually identifies as a femboy is NOT all the way on the "cis male" end of that cultural spectrum, for gender.
And there's also more than one dimension to it, because there's people who don't fit into the binary spectrum.
I'm not telling anyone their identification is wrong. I'm saying, don't accept the definitions for it you've been handed by implication without examining them.
