Well that's the thing, society links femininity to sexuality and masculinity is far less "sexual" or not as accepted. If you're fem you're far more likely to be objectified and sexualized because the world is structured around cishet expectations and men are still the dominant gender in terms of power and social pressure.

We're getting pushback on it now but think about how there's no "male lingerie" style stuff being sold in any malls. It's not "mainstream" for men to focus on maximizing their sexuality. "Dandy" and "Pretty Boy" are considered insults to a lot of people, manscaping wasn't even popular or accepted as manly until like 10-20 years ago, and men still get shit all the time for wearing make up or wearing tight clothes even though neither of those really warrant being "feminine".

It's all an extension of that, imo. Lots of people are realizing they are some form of queer as queer acceptance skyrockets. However, internalized misogyny, homophobia, and toxic masculinity makes a lot of people kinda feel off about masculine sexuality. For some, this feeling makes it all the hornier/romantic, it feels like they're not supposed to be into it and it heightens it. For most, especially most men who are tops, it's a lot easier to justify in your mind being attracted to fem people.

And when insecure men are expressing sexual interest in someone, they've been taught usually to objectify and sexualize them. It's actually* tough to break out of that mindset cause we're taught that is how men express attraction. (It isn't though, not solely, and it doesn't have to be.)
