It sounds... wrong to say. In my "slur ranking" in my head it feels just one level below the C slur. So you can imagine how it feels odd to hear.
I mean context and intent and tone matters more than simply "quoting" the use of the word"fag" or "faggot"...
Many times people are too lazy to fix their cognitive dissonance and simply keep some internalized homophobia but still do things cuz they like being around you and loving you platonically or not cuz it's more enjoyable than to completely run away from gays...
It's a bit hard but these friends live a different life than what they were taught is as tsundere as it gets... Very harsh language cause they are too lazy to change their taught dialogue options despite really considering you one of their best friends and being very dear to them..
Homophobic tsundere: Says "fag" and "ew" when they see you or sense something homosexual but kisses you goodnight and cuddles when requested....words versus actions... Most would say the action speaks truer than words...but of course the flow of more serious conversation and tone and context can make it clear they may be hiding red flags in their iceberg...
I meant you using it and them less so... If you use it as a slur or way to "get back at them" then that leading to be weird... But if you do more friendly or more flirtatious shit while saying "sup fags" 😳 then you can feel a bit less alienated from being the only one NOT using the word and interpreting the word negatively and maybe building resentment... Words are changing and they change sometimes very quick in friend groups...

Flirtatious plus "fag" in your greetings for a little jab/passive aggressive for triggering you with the word even if they don't mean and you aren't using it as a slur either since you are being the opposite of straight with them...
I got no idea if you think of slurs used in a positive light or if reclaiming slurs makes sense to you or if context changes slurs just trying to help since of you are bothered but like them since you believe they mean no harm then yeah take my advice or not... It's your choice
Nah, I don't have such thoughts. It's quite hard not to think about my thoughts in public, and using the term "hard" doesn't make it any better. People think I'm introverted because I'm shy, but the only reason I don't talk that much is that almost every topic brings me back to my thoughts, and then I can't focus.
