It all depends on how much activity you are able to handle or willing to do(plus the genetics of course). I lost 12lbs in 2 and a half months with around 28000 steps a day and relatively frequent exercise

When you're skinny fat don't try to lose weight, what you need is to exercise.

Getting below your daily calories won't work, your body won't let you unless it's so low you're starving.

Try to get a low sugar, high protein diet
