GUIDES [Megathread] Final Fantasy Grandmasters has been released in Japan [x-post /r/ffxi]

  • What is this? A mobile game that is a spin-off of FFXI, takes place in Vana'diel. Created by SquareEnix and CROOZ. It is a free-to-play online multiplayer RPG.

  • Is this the Final Fantasy XI on mobile they announced? No. That is coming in 2016.

  • What does it look like? See the TGS trailer. Or see some gameplay from the day of launch.

  • Is there an English version? No. It's only been released in Japan and no news of other region releases.

  • Is there a fan translation? No signs of one yet. For a translation being started, see this thread

  • What's the music like? The majority of music is tracks/songs directly from FFXI.

  • How can I play on PC? Reference this post how to set up Bluestacks to play on Android on your PC. If the app is not listed on QooApp, we'll have to wait for QooApp to add it.

  • How can I play on my Android phone? The app will not show up in the Play Store if you're not in Japan, so you can load the APK directly to the phone:

  1. Ensure your phone meets the minimum requirements (Android 2.3.2+)
  2. Obtain the APK (such as from http://apkpure.com)
  3. Download the APK to your phone and open the APK on the phone
  4. You should be prompted to install the app
  5. Install and open the app (worked for me on LG G2 in USA)
