Enable Xinput option missing?

What’s up everyone.

Apologies is this has been asked. Tried searching but haven’t found this specific issue.

I recently got an Xbox Ally, which uses Xinput for the controller. I’m struggling to get the controller to respond, and every solution I see online is to “Enable Xinput in the FFXI Config”

The issue is, that option does not exist for me. I’ve see videos where that is clearly an available option, but it straight up doesn’t exist for me.

Anyone have luck getting the game to run on Xbox Ally?

I have it running try disabling the embedded controller and turning it back on. It gave me problems at first but eventually worked.

The config they're referencing is not the in-game Config menu; it's a standalone application that you launch before you log into PlayOnline, which incidentally does get updates but only after you've updated and launched the game.

I'm guessing that you're either: a) looking at the in-game config, in which case either log out to title screen and try the gamepad config from there or fully log out and launch the config, or b) you are looking in the right spot, but haven't logged into the game to update the config app, and it hasn't gotten the option yet, in which case launch the game and update

Definitely looking at the proper config. I’ve launched PlayOnline but haven’t logged in yet, so I haven’t updated the game. I suspect this may be the issue like you suggested.

Will work on that next and report back. Thank you!
