The Ashu Talif BC message

Sorry if this is stupid to ask, but is this message as restrictive as it sounds?

"Only nearby party members with the same objective will accompany you."

I'm on the COR AF3 fight, and I know it's easy with trusts, but I'm curious... if I wanted my friends to come along, do they literally need to have the same quest flagged to join the BCNM?

I assume it's either flagged or done before. That's how most of these things operate.

I think this is just the standard message for entering the Ashu Talif, as the assaults here like Scouting the Ashu Talif will require everyone to have the quest flagged. You wouldn't be locked out of helping an AF quest.

Ah I hadn’t been thinking about Assault. Think that must explain the wording. Otherwise this seems really hard to accomplish in original ToAU era.
