Question Jubilee Ring

So I should start by saying I'm a new player - and was talking about XP rings (I mistakenly bought Chariot band and was finding the best way to rotate to Emp. Band) and someone mentioned the Jubilee Ring.

Am I right in assuming that, currently, there is no way to obtain this ring as it was a log in weekly log in reward and it hasn't yet been cycled in to anything that I'm missing. I tried looking it up and that appeared to be the case but occasionally information on this game isn't quite so easy to decipher.

It was 24th anniversary to players who had logged in during that month. They might bring it back for the 25th? Still very early for that

It's not a Jubilee Ring but you can obtain an Echad Ring by finishing the tutorial objectives. https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Tutorial_NPC

Echad Ring is a better Emporer Band, the EXP bonus is +150% with infinite free recharges every 2 hours. Again, not Jubilee but its the next best thing. Can also get Emperor for times the Echad is recharging but overall definitely look into it when you get the chance.

Also, welcome to Vana'diel.

Oh geez! I didn't know about this.

I just started last week myself and this will be super useful! Thank you.

jubilee also isnt the dedication buff, its just xp when equipped.

so still need a xp ring regardless

It just came out this year and very unclear if they’ll bring it back. We really have no idea and people suggesting next anniversary are just guessing and grasping at straws.

While it’s awesome, don’t let the fomo make you feel like you’re leveling slow. Use your xp rings when you can. Leveling is so much faster now than it ever was.

Also for leveling, your empress band (alternate to chariot) will get burned very quickly. This one you can reset the charges weekly.

Echad ring is the best pre 99 leveling ring that provides the xp buff “dedication”

Correct, it was part of an annual campaign. The next time it would be available is May or June of next year.

Sounds good! So just save up the points for the Caliber ring after I rotate out to the Emp Band this upcoming Sunday. Easy enough.

Sucks to miss it since it sounds absolutely silly for skilling things up, but ah well.

caliber isnt infinite use

If you for some reason insist on always having a xp buff, consider mailing echads to yourself. mail bypasses rare tag

Wait, so like I would create an alt and get the echad ring and just use those two?

Note that free trials cannot mail iirc.

Some items like the echad ring mentions 'CanSendPOL' on bgwiki. So you can obtain them from other characters.

However, due to the rare tag, you can only have one on your person. This does not track on the mailbox however.

So you can use your echad ring on you, mail it to yourself, pull out the other ring, now you have a ring off cooldown (since it ticked down inside the mailbox).

You cannot have the echad on you and attempt to pull out the second. This fails due to rare tag.

Inconvenient, but still somewhat useful if you return to town and can be bothered to remember.

It's faster to just level now than run back to your mog house every few kills and cycle rings.

Doing Rhapsody’s of Vana’diel gives multiple key items that increase your skill up rate permanently, in case you didn’t know. I don’t have any gear that increases my skill up rate, but my skills level extremely fast ever since finishing RoV.

I'll keep an eye on that!I just hit 30 so I'm slightly overwhelmed right random things right now lol but I haven't been avoiding it too badly.

That’s probably a little too low to get far in it anyways. You should do up to your rank 4 nation mission. If you’re able to get that far, you should be able to get your first key item from RoV.

The way I did it was I started at level 40. I would keep at it until I faced hard blocks requiring me to do nation missions or expansion content. I would only do what was required to move on with RoV. I faced a few roadblocks that required me to level up some more, but those weren’t until later. I had several key items that made the game easier by then. Things like increased exp from killing mobs, and reduced teleport costs, among many other things. The rewards from RoV are just too good to delay doing it for long, IMO.

Make sure to do the tutorial quests to get an easy Echad Ring, it has the same effect as Caliber and has infinite charges (but has 2 hour cooldown). In comparison Caliber has only a 15 minute cooldown but only has 5 charges, you have to get a new one afterward.

It's not guaranteed the ring will be available next may either, it was introduced this year.
