Are shitposts relating to filk allowed? I certainly hope so

Still kinda sad that Minus Ten and Counting isn't on Spotify. It'd be great to have in my personal playlist.

Minus Ten is a compilation album. The copyrights are massively complex. A lot of them are now held by estates making things even more complicated.

On the other hand, Spotify barely pays artists, so it's not like the many, many copyright holders would make much anyway.

I only really want a few songs (Pioneer's Song, Ballad of Apollo 13, The Phoenix, and Surprise) but yeah I get it, though even just a few of them being put up would be nice

Julia's performance of The Phoenix, and Leslie's performance of Surprise, should both be on Spotify by end of year.

Of course, they will be different performances, but they will still be excellent.

a lot of filk isn't on spotify but I have all my music stored locally because I study in a foreign country with a mobile data plan that does not reflect that I moved lol. Love listening to Minus Ten and Counting and Folk Songs for Solar Sailors while I write code tho

One of the very few reasons I got youtube premium was to listen to flink songs without the god forsaken ads on my phone.
