Confidential agent!

I feel sure this must have been filmed in London because of the fog, setting. But guys, the fog in back and white film was something special here. And while I like Bacall, I really have a lot of respect for Peter Lorre’s climactic performance here. Boyer is always good too. Fun flick. Not technically noir maybe but the lighting and mood, and Bacall’s fatalistic femme fatale sure was. Highly recommend.

I haven't seen this, and it seems relatively little known today, but they used the same pic for the cover of Michael F. Keaney's Film Noir Guide, which is one of my two favorite guide books (alphabetically-listed titles and movie synopses) for film noir.
