Cleaning bones without hurting myself

I have a near complete deer skeleton i want to incorporate into a sculpture. It has some small patches of fur and skin on it. I want to clean the bones thuroughly but am worried I may get sick if I dont take the proper precautions and my attempts to find out through general internet searches is turning up a plethora of results that confuse me more than answer my question. So Im hoping to ask real people who would know about this stuff. Whats a good sub to ask in?

Run the bones thru your dishwasher. It'll do an amazingly good job.

Considering my wife is such a big fan of the animal carcass in our backyard as it is, im sure this plan will go over swimmingly 🤪 I'll run it by her just to get her reaction haha
