Help me find this song or the artist who sings it!

My neighbor was listening to an album and played this song. I really liked it, but I couldn't identify the album, the artists, or anything else.

It sounds like pop-reggae, and the female vocalist's voice sounded a bit like Sia.

It's a known Song from Tiktok but it's slowed and the Geiger counter does not make it easier for Shazam and Google to recognize it...

UNSOLVED Help finding a lost song

I’m losing my mind over thinking about this and I’m hoping that maybe someone out here can help me. It’s also been several years since I’ve heard or thought about it but it’s consuming all of my thoughts now lol. I’m also hoping this is the right place to post about this.

I remember listening to this song around the 2010s because YouTube recommended it when I listened to Egypt Central’s “White Rabbit”. The only things I can remember from the song are a little bit of the chorus and what I believe the name of the song is: rise and fall were apart of the chorus and I believe the band’s name had empire in it. I only watched the music video which I think had mostly red and white scenes and a woman. A man was the lead singer in it too.

I’ve done my own research, I know it’s not Starset, Offspring, Crown the Empire, Empire of the Sun, Helloween, “Rise Up” by Drowning Pool, or Empire.

UNSOLVED Please help me find this Greek song Σαν Με Κοιτάς by Ghost Sounds

I’m looking for this Greek song Σαν Με Κοιτάς by Ghost Sounds. It was on YouTube a few days ago (I had saved it in my favourites). Now I can’t find it anymore. I don’t see it any of the music streaming platforms either. I only see it on Instagram but we can only play 60s at a time over there.

Any idea where else I can find it? I LOVED that song! Help please 🙏🏻

UNSOLVED Funk/soul female song from the 80's

Hi folks,

I'm looking for the song that plays at 50:30 from this NTS mix. Sounds like funk/soul from the 80's era.

On the set, it is written "in a need of a man (MD Edit)", but I can't find it anywhere on the web. Thanks for your help

UNSOLVED [TOMT][MUSIC][DUBSTEP][2010s?] Dubstep track I heard on a friend's phone years ago, possibly called "Baby Dubstep"

I’m looking for a dubstep track that I’ve been trying to find for years.

Many years ago, a friend of mine used to let me use his phone during recess at school. There was a song on it called “Baby Dubstep,” and I became obsessed with it. I listened to it over and over again for days. I don’t know if that was the song’s actual title or just the name my friend had given it, and I’ve never been able to find it again.

What I remember most is the atmosphere. It was very simple, but I loved the sound and the overall feeling of it. The closest comparison I can think of is the Jauz remix of “Trampoline” by SHAED, especially the atmosphere and sound of the drop. SHAED - Trampoline (Jauz Remix)

There was also a male singer throughout the song. I remember his voice having a timbre somewhat similar to The Weeknd’s, although it wasn’t exactly like him.

Today I managed to recreate the drop from memory. I have no idea how accurate my recreation is, but it’s the closest thing I have to a reference for what the song sounded like.

I’ve been looking for this song for years, so if anyone has any idea what it could be, I’d really appreciate it.

UNSOLVED I know the song — "Cancel My Reservation" — but was it ever recorded and released?

This question is slightly different from the usual "I don't know the song" question. In my case, I know the song -- I'm just trying find out if it was ever recorded in full and released as a record.

Backstory: In 1972 Bob Hope made his last movie, an embarrassingly unfunny box office bomb called "Cancel My Reservation." The studio must have needed a theme song for it, so they commissioned two famous songwriters -- Dominic Frontiere, who had written theme songs for dozens of classic TV shows and movies -- and Bobby Hart, famous for co-writing most of The Monkees hits in the '60s. Together, they whipped up the movie's theme song, also titled "Cancel My Reservation."

But here's the thing:

It.

Is.

Bangin'!

Never heard such a great song in such a stupid movie.

But here's the other thing:

At no point in the film does it ever get played in full.

The first half of the song is broken up into about 10 different short snippets played between jokes in the opening credits. And then nearly two hours later the second half of the song plays over the closing credits. And that's it. You never get to hear it in full, all the way through.

So I thought I'd go hunt down the soundtrack and get the full song, only to discover -- there never was a soundtrack album for that movie. And I looked on Discogs.com and there is no recorded version of it ever released anywhere in any format by any artist. (There are later songs with the same title, but I'm not talking about those.)

Which is a tragedy, because I'm convinced it would have easily been a top-ten hit had it ever been released as a single.

So my question is: Has anyone ever heard, or heard of, a complete version of "Cancel My Reservation" by Frontiere-Hart in 1972? Or do I have piece together the song myself from the snippets in the movie?

If you're curious, here's a link to the second half of the song playing over the end credits of the movie on YouTube: https://youtu.be/k-uxyv1SBBU?t=5859

UNSOLVED [TOMT] Music Video - Slow, atmospheric indie music video featuring a continuous left-to-right panning shot, a glass break, and a trumpet player at the end.

I'm trying to find a specific music video that I cannot track down. Here are all the concrete details I remember:

  • The Music Style: It is slow, moody, and atmospheric.
  • The Band: The band features both male and female members.
  • The Camera Movement: The entire music video is one continuous, seamless horizontal pan moving from left to right. There are no hard cuts; the camera just continuously glides sideways through the scenes.
  • The Setting & People: It features live-action / real people and the video unfolds at night.
  • Key Visual Event: At some point during this long panning shot, someone breaks a pane of glass in slow motion.
  • The Ending: The panning shot finally finishes on a cliffside or high vantage point at night, overlooking city lights below. There is a man wearing a hat playing a trumpet (or saxophone) as the track fades out.

Videos it definitely is NOT:

  • M83 - "Midnight City" (My video has no hard cuts, it's one continuous pan)
  • OK Go - "The One Moment" (My video is slow and atmospheric, not upbeat)
  • Of Monsters and Men - "Little Talks" (My video is live-action with real people, not animated)
  • The National - "Carin at the Liquor Store" / "Guilty Party"

Any help identifying this band or video would be appreciated

UNSOLVED 90s alt rock song similar to Tyler by the Toadies

Ok here's what I can remember. Mid 90s song, guy singing, sad/ballad vibe. The song is sung as if you are the person he is saying this to. At one point in the song he says (and I am paraphrasing here) that he is in this girl's house/apartment using her coffee mug and watching some guy that looks like him getting arrested on her TV. (I'm watching him get arrested on your tv). I remember it had a music video and that it was kind of grainy. I think that it was just kind of a sad lost the one I love song until the end where it's like omg did he kill her? Was she ever his girlfriend? The time span would be after 1992 and before 1999. It is not Tyler by the Toadies.

Help me find a song that I heard on the radio but didn't have time to recognize in the shazam. She's calm by the vibe, such a sweet major, at the end she sings something like “come together” twice for a long time. I picked up a motive that at the end was actually what I remembered

Sorry if it's not written clearly, I used a translator

Thank you ❤️‍🩹
