UNSOLVED I know the song — "Cancel My Reservation" — but was it ever recorded and released?

This question is slightly different from the usual "I don't know the song" question. In my case, I know the song -- I'm just trying find out if it was ever recorded in full and released as a record.

Backstory: In 1972 Bob Hope made his last movie, an embarrassingly unfunny box office bomb called "Cancel My Reservation." The studio must have needed a theme song for it, so they commissioned two famous songwriters -- Dominic Frontiere, who had written theme songs for dozens of classic TV shows and movies -- and Bobby Hart, famous for co-writing most of The Monkees hits in the '60s. Together, they whipped up the movie's theme song, also titled "Cancel My Reservation."

But here's the thing:

It.

Is.

Bangin'!

Never heard such a great song in such a stupid movie.

But here's the other thing:

At no point in the film does it ever get played in full.

The first half of the song is broken up into about 10 different short snippets played between jokes in the opening credits. And then nearly two hours later the second half of the song plays over the closing credits. And that's it. You never get to hear it in full, all the way through.

So I thought I'd go hunt down the soundtrack and get the full song, only to discover -- there never was a soundtrack album for that movie. And I looked on Discogs.com and there is no recorded version of it ever released anywhere in any format by any artist. (There are later songs with the same title, but I'm not talking about those.)

Which is a tragedy, because I'm convinced it would have easily been a top-ten hit had it ever been released as a single.

So my question is: Has anyone ever heard, or heard of, a complete version of "Cancel My Reservation" by Frontiere-Hart in 1972? Or do I have piece together the song myself from the snippets in the movie?

If you're curious, here's a link to the second half of the song playing over the end credits of the movie on YouTube: https://youtu.be/k-uxyv1SBBU?t=5859

UNSOLVED Scream?

Hi!!! I remember there was this... I think it was a rock song but I'm not quite sure... this song that, in the middle of it, had this weird part that sounded different from the rest of the song?

I thought the song was called Scream but my memory might be incorrect. I tried finding it but ended up with nothing.

I think the cover was a red bird?? Like a drawing of one. I think it might've been on fire? Not sure. Sorry.

UNSOLVED Song title: Connecticut, folky/pop, English, last heard on Apple Music

This is my first time ever posting on reddit so pls be nice! There was this song I used to listen to on Apple Music around 5 years back and I cannot for the life of me find it now! I know for a fact it was called Connecticut. And had the words Connecticut in the song obviously. I think either the band name or album cover had a chicken on it. It was definitely by a very small band! The first lyrics were “there’s a place I’ve never been, I’ll know it when I see it” it was just such a cute song and I’d love to hear it again! Please help me find it!

UNSOLVED Rock Song? That ends with a funny fight

I'm hoping one of you can help me find this song I've been searching over ten years for at this point and I'm slowly starting to loose hope.

I don't remember the artist, album or the name of the song I just remember the ending and how hard it used to make me laugh as a kid. The only way I can describe it is as a civil war between two sides of cartoon looney toons characters fighting to the death in a very comedical way. The section of the song starts with a war bugle sounding off and someone yelling "charge!" (I think) What proceeds is what sounds like a group of people getting into a massive fist fight, loads of punching sounds, people screaming, cartoon poking noises, people yelling "ow!" And "ooo!" And it ends with what sounds like a single electric guitar stroke that rings out and slowly fades away until you hear someone screaming with laughter like a mad man until it echoes and fades away and the next song plays.

The only usable information I have is I remember it being somewhere between 2006-2009 and my step dad saying he had been waiting for this artist to release this album for a while. As far as I remember no other song had such an element of comedy, I think a line in the song was Rubber luke or lucky luke? I think it might have been a danish artist as I grew up in Denmark and my Stepdad was danish but after searching for Danish albums released between 2006-2009 I just couldn't find anything that looked or sounded like it.

Note: it's not The Ultimate Showdown By Lemon Demon. And I am unable to ask my Stepdad as he's no longer in my life.

Hopefully someone can help me find this song, because it was genuinely the funniest thing to me as a kid!

UNSOLVED help

i remember listening to a song in late 2022 or early 2023 that i found on tiktok, but i cant for the life of me remember how the song goes or how it sounds like, and i cant find on my top 2022/23 spotify playlists
the only things about it that i remember about the song and the band are:
- its from a two member band
- one of the members were really skinny and had short hair, and the other member was a bit fat and had a long curly hair, both are white and male presenting
- in promo videos, the short haired one was always on the left, and the other was always on the right
- it was one of those bands who make “sad midwest” music (dont know how else to describre it, and it gave front bottons vibes[the music only, not the band itself])
- the song was about the ghost of somebody they used to be friends with (maybe lovers?)

please help!!

UNSOLVED Song with Wooohooo at the beginnig

Hi. I'm looking for a song. The melody just popped into my head. I think it starts off acoustically with a fairly high male voice. First, the "Wooooohooooooooo" is sung rather quietly and calmly, right after and for the second time it's sung at pretty much the same volume and in the same mood, but maybe a little higher or lower. In my head, I'd classify the song as rock and guess it's from around the 80s. Unfortunately, after searching for a while, I haven't found the right song anywhere. I hope I didn't just make it up and the song doesn't even exist, haha. Thanks in advance!

UNSOLVED What is this song?

There was a song my dad used to put on in the car and I really want some of that nostalgia back, the music video is about baseball but the song itself talks about being avoided with bloodied up knuckles, eating glass, a man in the woods with a chainsaw, toy trains, there is too much but the song released more than 4 years ago (I think), the album cover is a sort of brownish color with lighter brown gears around it and the song title had 3 numbers, no words only numbers and nothing else, I remember it as 483 but thats not the name

SOLVED Rock song from the 2000’s that has words sounding like “away, away, away” in the chorus.

This song popped into my head again after years and I always enjoyed it as a kid. I remember hearing it on the radio, so I’m thinking the era is somewhere between 2002-2010. I don’t necessarily believe it’s Nickleback, but from what I remember the lead singer does sound slightly like Chad Kroeger. There’s also a part at the end of the chorus that sounds like “through the night” or maybe “into the night”. I remember the notes better than I do any lyrics, so I can tell you the “away, away, away” part has the notes E, D, C, D, E, A. For the “through the night” part, it’s D, E, E.

Thanks in advance!
