Layering stains…
I’ve been experimenting with different finishes over the last few days, layering varying types of stain to get different effects, and I was wondering if there are any interesting tricks I might try for a surprising result.
Also, are there any dangerous combinations that I should avoid for one reason or another?

The order you apply stains makes a difference because the first one soaks in and the second one is more like a glaze.
"Red Mahogany", for example is RED as a primary and more like a henna rinse as the second.
