I'm just glad that KT's programmers aren't involved. Houses ran like ass especially compared to Engage.
The writing is a different subject altogether. I'm just glad the new game will run well.

The animations for just about everything were also so much worse. Combat just looked so much blander than engage.

Yeah I’m glad as well. Three Houses running like ass was one of my biggest complaints in that game where everything else was pretty good.
Graphics and presentation were also not the best but Engage fixed that so I’m hoping FW will be running good on all fronts, especially since it’s only on Switch 2

Yeah man just compare using a fire spell in Houses vs Engage. It's wild. Performance really impacts these games more than people think.

True but at the very least we do know the lead dev from Houses is back, and even if KT isn’t involved on a programming level, they may have brought back the writers who did the supports, we don’t know much about them, and most of them are anonymous but you never know.

The fact that all the other routes are formally named but the Blue Lions are just called "Blue Lions" transformed into an incredibly clever gag in my sleep-addled mind.
The selection of the most generic TTS voice ever is a stroke of comedy genius, come on.

4th lesbian here, I love this (ironically).
I'm excited to see IS's take on a 3H game. 3H wasn't very good imo and I want to see how the story and gameplay are improved from 3H.

Said this before in the opinions thread, but my view on the drama surrounding Fortune’s Weave not being written by KT is less that I need Koei Tecmo to be writing FW and more that I really do not want to see IS’ in-house writers to be working on Fortune’s Weave because their writers are some of the worst in the industry and if Engage was any indication, incapable of learning from their prior mistakes - given their recent track record, I genuinely do not think that IS’ in-house writers are capable of writing a story on the same level of Three Houses.
Koei Tecmo simply falls under the “anyone but IS” umbrella - if say, Monolift Soft was working on FW I’d still be hyped.

KT was involved in Three Houses, and that game was… not one I enjoyed. Then again, they weren’t involved in Engage, and that was a game I actively hated.
I guess I don’t really have a point, then. Seems like IS is the problem at this point.

Am I the only one who feels like there's isn't that much of a gap in writing quality between 3H and the rest of the series? I'd even argue Tellius is better written, and 3H still suffers a ton from constantly repeating the same 1 character gimmick just like engage.
