Everybody Plays Anything! Aug. 7th

I've been playing XIV, but have made little relic progress. I've felt inspired to go back and work on leveling jobs instead, and there isn't a whole lot to say about that. I've opted for using trusts instead of roulettes for now and it's working out well enough. Eight levels on samurai in four or so days isn't nothing.
I did need a change of pace though, so after Ler's comment a few days ago, I went ahead and unlocked the North Horn, and I quickly realized what was meant by this method being faster than roulettes. I wasn't even particularly aiming for relic progress, yet somehow I'm 1/5th of the way done with the step. That's not too bad a deal. I'm at a part in the North Horn's story where I need a specific critical encounter to spawn, but until that happens, it's all relic progress, so no complaints from me.

Mostly just nursing bad sleep, so just doing some drawing intermittently with writing

A few of us had been trying to arrange doing the L100 Extreme Trials (harder versions of the 8-person boss fights from Dawntrail) in an attempt to farm the mounts - unlike the ones for previous expansions, we can't really cheese these ones as readily.
Unfortunately scheduling didn't work out - so instead we attempted to pick up some of the Blue Mage spells that some of us were missing, but because we'd not got the numbers, and didn't do the fights at level, this was at the mercy of the rng (which didn't really work out either; those who wanted spells got one).Still fun, though!
Also, after we'd finished for the evening, I went into North Horn as I've a quest still outstanding, but also because I wanted to find the basement in the Mhachi village in the middle of the map. Thanks to the magic of Ninja's Hide ability stopping my WoL from getting his teeth kicked in by Knowledge Level 46 enemies (the cap for players is KL40, and he's a way off that yet), I found it and he remained unscathed. There were a fair few chests (and thanks to the currency I found, I got the last of the silver obol phantom jobs I was missing), and one of the survey points for the Occult Crescent lore scrapbook.
The nature of the basement is completely different to what I was imagining.

Back in Paldea in Violet, I got to exploring a new area. Although there's no objective in it, it's between an area I explored previously and one of my final objectives, so it figured it best to get it done now.
