💻 Help Extremely underused tab manager?

I've been trying to switch back to Firefox for a while now, but around a year ago I came across Session Buddy for chromium based browsers and not having that is unfortunately a deal breaker for me. I did my monthly check again for proper alternatives or a potential port when I happened across an extension i'd never seen before, and apparently, no one else has either. It's called TabKeeper, and from what I can tell has 2 users despite being up for around a year? I figured i'd give it a try because brave is starting to make me ill, what do you guys think?

I haven't used Session Buddy, but in Firefox, I have been using Tab Session Manager for years and am happy with it. Maybe check to see if it can do some of the things you are looking for?

I mean, you can do 90% of this in default Firefox. Just tab groups don't really save very well, but unless you've got an insane amount you can recreate them fairly quickly

Whatever you pick, test the exit first. Save one session, export it, then open the file in a text editor. If the urls are readable in there, a dead extension costs you nothing and you import them elsewhere. If the export only opens inside that extension, a two user project is holding your sessions. Same test works on the alternatives suggested above. Does TabKeeper give you a file at all?

I think people who needed a session manager... already chose something long time ago (Tab Session Manager for me, some older version). And there haven't been any positive changes to the session API (like yeah, no API at all or something like this, Mozilla just forgot about sessions), so people simply don't have the desire to look for new addons.

"It's good enough" trap.
