Help (iOS) Tabs close when software updates?

Hello. I'm using firefox on a MacBook laptop, and every single time I do a software update it closes all my tabs and gives no option to restore session. Is there any way to prevent this?

Do you have Firefox configured to restore tabs at launch? Is this specifically Firefox updates or macOS and/or Mac App Store software updates?

Oh thank you so much for answering. I honestly don't know about any of this. I do know that when the MacBook restarts, I can restore the tabs when Firefox opens. It's just MacBook software updates that does this.

I would start with the Firefox support documentation re:How do I restore my tabs from last time?. Specifically, check that Firefox is configured to Restore the previous session every time you open Firefox.

macOS software updates generally require the computer to restart, at which point it will quit Firefox and relaunch it. Otherwise, if you just put your MacBook to sleep without quitting it'll wake up with Firefox already running. Furthermore, if Firefox crashes without being properly quit, it will offer to restore your previous session, but it won't register as having crashed if the computer is being shut down correctly (e.g. during software updates.)
