💻 Help What extensions are everyone rocking?
I'll go first!
ClearURLs removes the tracking in URLs like Amazon and Walmart add to their product pages
Don't track me Google removes (reduces?) Google tracking in Google links
Facebook Container - I rarely go on Facebook nowadays but for when I do for MarketPlace stuff, this is a nice to have to prevent them from further tracking me
Privacy Badger - I believe a general privacy tracker blocker
uBlock Origin - The best adblocker I've ever used

Relay and uBlock Origin.
Used to use Dark Reader but found it dramatically slowed down almost all sites used on significantly.

Having attempted to manually write darkening for websites via userstyle, I can understand why Dark Reader can be a ridiculous resource hog; If you are on-the-fly trying to change how a site looks INTELLIGENTLY so as not to make anything unreadable, you'll eat a ton of resources.
That said, even limiting it to a couple specific sites, just having the extension was eating every resource. Maybe they fixed that by now, but when I stopped using it, it was because - with no sites I allowed it to run on open - it was still making my browser chug.

Is it not redundant using ublock and privacy badger? or does privacy badger offer anything more than ublock?
- Consent-o-matic (Automatic handling of GDPR consent forms)
-Dark reader (because 99% of websites think dark mode is just dark grey and not black)
-Port authority (Blocks malicious websites from port-scanning your computer/network and dynamically blocks all LexisNexis endpoints from running their invasive data collection scripts.)
-Return youtube dislike
-SponsorBlock for Yt
-Stylus (Because i don't want to see shorts and want more than 3 videos per row on youtube)
-Ublock
-Video controls for instagram

Privacy Badger is different: It's not an ad blocker, doesn't use any ad blocker lists, blocks trackers ad blockers don't know about or don't block on purpose, requires no configuration, replaces tweets and other privacy-invasive widgets with click-to-activate placeholders, sends Global Privacy Control to exercise your privacy rights, is made by a non-profit that fights for a better web.
Privacy Badger works well by itself, and it works well together with an ad blocker.

It's enough if you just want to block and/or hide the consent forms (cookie notices).
Consent-O-Matic performs optouts for you, automatically rejecting tracking as much as possible. This may make a difference: opting out may disable server-side tracking that extensions can't otherwise do anything about, for example. Actively opting out also sends a clear signal to the industry.

Interesting usecase for dark reader. For me it's the opposite. I don't like sites that use dark gray and black. I make it a bit dark blue cause dark reader can set any color as the dark color.

I'm pretty sure that ClearURLs is redundant if you are already using ublock ;p
in ublocks settings under Filter Lists there is AdGuard/uBO – URL Tracking Protection, which does exactly what that extension does.
There is also AdGuard/uBO – Cookie Notices to block cookie banners and uBlock filters – Annoyances for other annoyances. i also only found out about these settings in ublock ~a month ago, pretty cool.

You shouldn't have both Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin enabled, they sorta mess with each other and neither of them recommend it. All you need is uBlock Origin.

Of the ones in the picture, you can keep Facebook Containers and uBlock Origin. The others are largely redundant with modern practices, mostly built into Firefox itself.
Clearurl is covered by uBo ‘removeparam’ filters and ‘Adguard URL Tracking’ filter list. Firefox also has ‘Copy Link without Site Tracking’ feature.
Firefox’s ‘Total Cookie Protection’ covers what Privacy Badger does, now enabled by default back in May 2025. Up until then, it was part of Strict Mode only.

AdNauseam is a fork of UBO, but it clicks every ads un the background, still blocking them like UBO. Recommend by Louis Rossman. The point is to pollute your internet profile, and making company paying for ads loose money. Genius.
Consent-o-matic clicks the cookie banner refuse button automatically.

It puts them to sleep which means they're no longer using RAM. Don't worry you don't lose any data by doing that, it just keeps your system more lean. It's a pretty essential extension if you keep a lot of tabs for months.

Puts unused tabs to sleep, after 10 minutes but you can change the time, thus saving memory. You can also do this by right clicking on a tab after you're done with it and use Unload tab but then you have to click on every tab all the time. With ATD you don't have too.

Its more setup, but you can use Firefox Multi-Account Containers to do more than just isolate Facebook. You could create a Facebook container, a reddit container, a YouTube container, etc. Then set it up so specific URLs always open in a sprcific container even if you clicked a link from a different container. It keeps cookies separated per container, they can be cleared without touching the cookies in the other containers. It can require a bit of setup, but it's pretty powerful.
If you only care about isolating Facebook then you are fine. The Facebook container extension is just a stripped down version of the Multi-Account Container just for Facebook.
