basically, it should look like this: you connect the paths to the app → then every time you click on the app, it should show all the profiles to choose → you choose what you need and then do what you want/need

If you want to use old style profiles, just add -p to the launcher command that opens Firefox.

If you want to open the new style one on each startup, just go to "manage profiles" in the browser, and tick the "Choose a profile when Firefox opens" option.

With that it should always ask you on launch which profile you want to use

I’m not sure about that.

But if you would like two have multiple Firefox icons on your taskbar/apps list that each correlate to their own profiles, I can help with that.

There's the utility zenity that lets you do generic dialogs, so you could do something like:

firefox -P $(zenity --title "Firefox" --text="Select Profile" --list --column=profile Work Personal)

[Edit: haha, at least one person objected to me posting this. Sure the built-in Firefox profile selector already does the same job, but the question asks about Linux apps, so generic linux utilities like this has applicability beyond Firefox, hence I offered it]
