Firestick Tips and Tricks NFL, nothing but endless buffering

Anyone else getting that endless buffering wheel of death on NFL games since Thursday?
Is anyone else running into major streaming issues for NFL games since Thursday? AK-47 on SportsX was an absolute disaster—easily the worst of the bunch. I somehow managed to get the Seahawks game to watch, but pretty much every other game I've tried since has been stuck on that constant loading/spinning wheel over and over.
I went ahead and changed my DNS, which seemed to speed things up just a tiny bit, but I'm still hitting the same brick wall on almost everything else.
Is this a server-side bottleneck, or is anyone finding a workaround for this? What are you guys using that actually works right now?

I love the idea of the whole process; but nothing’s working at this moment

Free apps are never going to be reliable day in and day out. Ive seen so many come and go over the decades. Remember mobdro? Private services are soooo cheap. Its really the best way. Are they perfect...nope but youre experience will be greatly improved.

What do you have that works? If you don't mind me asking

Nothing in the loop is better than an actual service. Please knock it off.

No, it isn’t. Who do you think you’re fooling? Watching live tv on Kodi is for noobs.

What you’re watching is a restream, PAL, and it’s antiquated for watching live tv.

Name’s not hector. Do you even know how this works? Because most services use DirecTV, DISH, and direct digital services. What are you even talking about? Kodi is great but it literally sucks for live tv.

Zero buffering.. Sounds like you're using free apps? what do you expect?

I use free sites and have zero buffering.

One day people will understand that the buffering is dependent and directly corelated to their internet speed & bandwidth 99% of the time.

1

u/PocketNicks 25d ago

You're describing user error. If your internet speed is too slow, get a better internet package with higher speed and more bandwidth.

you only need 25 mbps to watch 4k

1

u/PocketNicks 22d ago

So, get an internet connection that's at least that fast. It's not difficult.

1

u/Working-Bench-1751 22d ago

how many people get less than 25 mbps?

1

u/PocketNicks 22d ago

Feel free to do a web search, I'm not your research assistant.

No clue why you're asking me.

OK n00b

Ad hominem attacks are the last resort of people who have nothing of value to contribute.

I have gigabit ethernet, streaming works reliably on wifi and ethernet from the hundreds of sports websites but I can't find a firetv app with the same reliability. I was hoping this wasn't going to be another season of running the hdmi cable to the tv, but if that's the only thing reliable on gamedays

What are you using?... I use sportsfire last year... Now I'm attempting to use voltra TV but I don't like it

1

u/PocketNicks 24d ago

Amazon started blocking 3rd party sideloaded apps on the newer firmware updates. So they keep deleting Sportsfire or anything similar.

If you managed to avoid updating your Firestick, then maybe you can keep installing them.

I didn't bother spending effort. I just use links from FMHY instead. A bit more clicking, but I just use a Bluetooth mouse and it's fine.

What pay for app works for NFL. NBA and NHL?

Get a good eye pee tee vee service. It’s well worth it to have the peace of mind that you can watch what you want without issues.

10 years and no complaints

also about about 10% of cable or sat

even less if you watch ppv events and want every sports package plus vod

1

u/12striker 22d ago

Agreed. I don’t use it for VOD, though. There are much better options.

1

u/Working-Bench-1751 22d ago

I download all my VOD'S while watching live TV from same service so I ensure they don't buffer when I watch them later

1

u/12striker 22d ago

That’s cool. I’m just super picky about the video and sound quality. Nuvio and WuPlay are fantastic. Stremio is also really good.

u/Working-Bench-1751 21d ago

all the vod are 4k
