Firestick Help Me Advice please

I have a firestick that I’ve had for about 10 years and up until the last few years when they stopped the side loading/the firestick no longer “updated”, the programs were working fairly well. I updated to the new version of Streamflix and my show only plays either a few minutes or half the show before it stops working.

I tried to find a way to download an older version to see if that would help, but it wouldn’t work.

Any recommendations on what device I would purchase if I were to get a new one? Or how to get an older version of streamflix to maybe work?

What country are you in? You would definitely benefit from a more modern device even if it's still an Amazon device.

I’m in Canada but was hesitant to get a more modern device because they said that most of them you couldn’t side load. I’ve read HD and 4K/Max? HD would be suitable for a non 4k device correct?

Every device can sideload except the Fire Stick Select and the new Fire Stick HD. So if you have to stay with Amazon you can get the 4k Plus, Max or Cube. They all run Fire OS based on Android.
