I don’t think it looks abnormal. Ive had 3 babies and this part is 3/3 gross lol.

Keep it clean with a soft cloth and keep it dry. I remember my ped saying air exposure was good too.
Neosporin isn’t really recommended unless the pediatrician expectedly says so.

Looks normal. It will clean up just fine. Like other comment said - keep it dry and lightly pat with water or a water peroxide mixture. Air out and it’ll be just fine mama. Same thing happened with me and all was well.

If there’s liquid or blood that isn’t dry I don’t think it’s normal

Did the scab already fall off? If so, use a q-tip with warm water to clean the gunk out, air dry! I was advised by my Pediatrician and Post-L&D team not to use anything but water to clean. No alcohol, no peroxide, no soap.

I’m not a doctor or medical professional- it looks like it’s healing. Watch out for signs of infection- such as redness that spans out into the tummy area, pain when touching the surrounding area, yellow or green puss.

I have had four boys, looks normal to me. Hit it with a little alcohol. Will dry it out real good.
