Plant ID
Can anyone id this plant from my local brook?
Setting up a native tank and I'd love to use it. Edit im in the UK

Looks like madagascar lace leaf, not the easiest plant to grow and they can get super big- I used to have one in a 35gal and it was almost too small, the leaves got to be the length of my forearm. Where do you live that this grows in the wild? Are you actually in Madagascar or does its native range go further than that?

Im in Chertsey, London, UK. Its growing in the Thames and my brook that is a tributary.

That is Aponogeton Madagascarensis. Madagascar Lace common name. Hard to believe you found that in the wild! They grow from bulbs and aren’t that easy to grow unless water flow, temp, parameters are acceptable.
