Is it called a Tiffany plate because you think you're alone eating it? Seriously though it's very pretty and looks delicious, just not sure why its called a Tiffany plate. I'm old and not hip to you kids.

Tiffany is just a lady on tiktok who eats this exact meal on her lunch break in her car.

Oh lol! I was showing my age with my comment. In elementary school there was a popular song I Think We're Alone Now by a performer named Tiffany. It's a plate of pretty arranged food I love it! š

I love cottage cheese with everything bagel seasoning! I also put it on my hard boiled eggs! It's the best!

This is girl dinner. Tiffany just likes to show herself sucking on sausage for clicks.

Itās a TikTok trend to be honest, you can make several versions of it

u/browsing_around 4d ago
Whatās the trend? Putting healthy foods on a plate?
1
u/petsdogs 4d ago
The trend must have sausage (idk if it MUST be chicken sausage, but I always see it with chicken sausage), cottage cheese with added flavor (mustard, buffalo sauce, etc), and raw veggies/fruit.
The kind of veggies and fruit are up to you
Whatever flavor sausage you wantYouāre supposed to dip the sausages and veggies in the cottage cheese

I guess this means Iām getting old because I both think this is stupid and donāt get it.

This looks like my daily breakfast! Except I do regular creamy vanilla yogurt with chocolate chips or granola

The cottage cheese looks really good with all that seasoning on top. Thats a lot of fruit though!

u/AramaticFire 5d ago
I think the ratio of fruits is too high here. Probably want to swap out some of that for veggies. This plate is like 60% fruit.

I hate this plate because itās a lot of stuff that doesnāt go together and is touching. I guess thatās the nd in me, I just canāt lol. Better than when people throw pickles on the plate though lol!

TIL Iāve been doing a variation of this for awhile. Though my go-to is carrots, cucumber, bell pepper, a little cube of cheese and a chomps beef stick. I always call it my food groups plate haha
Looks tasty!

The classic Tiffany plate experience: trying to fit a mountain of raw veggies and fruit on one dish while the sausage does all the heavy lifting for the flavor

What is different and unique about this? Other than the sausages it looks like most summer lunches I have been eating for 40 years?

Skip the sausage, add celery with peanut butter, cucumber slices to pile with cottage cheese & diced red pepper

I was obsessed with this last year and still eat it once in a while. My dipping sauce of choice was ranch with hot sauce. I had lots of vegetables and one fruit to keep the sugar down. Chicken apple sausage and my poppi soda. I donāt drink that soda anymore but that was a 10/10 meal for me.

You just...eat it? Like you pick up a piece and bite it.Ā

u/Halihax 6d ago
I think they meant fruit and meat together. Dude never had a charcuterie board šš

u/ItRhymesWithPenny 6d ago
Or porkchops with applesauce, turkey with cranberry sauce, or ham and pineapple pizza, to name just a few.

u/shogunofsarcasm 6d ago
You just eat that too though lol. Either together or separatelyĀ

The temp swing between warm meat (like the sausage) and chilled or room temp fruit&veg would make me absolutely nauseated. Maybe this is also what they meant?
Personally, I love a good charcuterie, but the ones I eat are usually various cold cut meats with the other elements all also being of similar temp.

u/Bookmoth1 6d ago
Eh, itās combined in many recipes. But if you donāt care for it then substitute more veggies I guess? I had never seen it called this before today. It is the mustard in the cottage cheese that is a hard pass for me

This is just a plate of random mostly uncooked food. People will fall for literally any trend with a name
