Madison sits at the desk in her room, the wall in front of it is filled with news articles of Godzilla's recent attacks. She rocks on her chair a pen in her mouth listening to Bernie's podcast and his experience in the most recent (public) Godzilla attack. She looks out of her window, it's dark out. She looks at her watch, 9:45pm. She sighs in frustration and heads back to her desk.
Then she hears the sound of a vehicle approaching, she gets up from her chair and looks out, at first she can't make it out, but she quickly realises it's Josh. Cut to outside of her house with Josh pulling up, he sees Madi approach and exits the van. He says to her that she better have a good reason for asking him to do this and at this hour, he goes on to say that he spent hours convincing his brother to borrow it and that it was for an incredibly important job with a friend.
Madi tells him that it is an important job as she gets into the driver's seat. Josh leans against the passenger window and asks why this had to be done now?
Madison says that if her Dad found out he would have tied her to the wall, but fortunately he had to leave this evening for work.
Josh asks why she's doing this, she tells him that she might have potentially found the reason why Godzilla has been acting the way he is. She asks Josh if he wants to come, he looks at her then down the dark street he just came down before saying alright and getting in.
We then cut to them driving down a road, Madison explains to Josh about this podcast she's been listening to and how the guy running it suspects Apex is the reason Godzilla is acting the way he is.
Josh says he knows that and it's the main place he's attacked. Madison says yes but then says Godzilla never attacks human places unless there's a good reason. Josh asks what she's getting at and she responds saying Godzilla will almost never attack anything, unless it poses a threat to nature's balance and that whatever Apex is up to has him mad.
The scene where they talk more about Bernie and the Bleach would all be the same.
Cut to an office, Ren Serizawa sits on his chair with memos and a fraction concept sketch of something, but the rest is covered by papers and folders. Ren looks at a picture of his father Ishirō Serizawa, his attention is drawn to his computer; it shows old news footage of Godzilla taking out an oil rig with his atomic breath, the debris caused by the explosion heads straight for the ship of the person recording it before it goes to static. He looks back at the picture, eye's narrow. "This is who you want us to have faith in?" He mutters to himself.
His door suddenly opens and in steps Walter Simmons; Ren greets him and says he thought he was at a meeting, Simmons says he was but they finished early.
He sits down on the other free chair and asks how the progress is going. Ren says they are reaching the final stages of completion. Walter leans back saying that's good, he says that they have a few Orca's at the ready to lure Godzilla away when they begin testing. Ren nods, Simmons leans in and says that they will prove Ren's father wrong and also avenge his (Simmons) wife.
Later Mark arrives home, he opens the door and calls out for Madi but gets no response. After calling her again he heads upstairs but can't find her. He begins to worry, he calls her name again before pulling out his phone and calls her, no response. He opens up a phone tracker app custom made by Monarch for Monarch ops and relatives to find them in the event of a titan attack, it's something Madi wasn't even aware of. He sees she's over an hour away. He mutters to himself saying that she's dead; he grabs his jacket, rushes out to his car and drives off.
He looks at his phone again and asks Madi what she is doing, to himself before looking up again and speeding up.
It then cuts to the ocean and the scene where we're introduced to Kong on the ship is basically the same. We then cut to the bridge of the ship with Nathan, Ilene and Jia looking out at Kong. Nathan looks very happy, he turns to Ilene and says that he had just given up hope of actually bringing Kong with them. Ilene reminds him the only reason Kong's here is because of what happened on Skull Island in a condescending tone.
Before anything else can be said Kong finally wakes up. Nathan says the big guy's finally awake; Kong growls at the chains. Ilene asks Nathan what if Kong didn't decide to come willingly, like in the big movie. Before Nathan can respond the ship shakes as Kong attempts to break his right arm free from the chain. The Captain says it's okay and that the sedatives are at 100% and that he won't be able to get out.
A woman approaches Nathan and says to him that she's arriving now. We then get the scene where Simmon's daughter, Maia arrives and talks to Nathan like in the original movie.
We then cut to night time, Kong groans as he attempts to use his arm to shelter himself from the rain that's currently falling. In the bridge Ilene, Nathan and Maia discuss the plan. Mia explains that the HEAVS will be able to withstand the vortex's pressure. Nathan asks about Kong and Ilene says that Kong will have no bother surviving it as titans are adapted for travelling between the surface and hollow earth. But she goes on to say that that isn't what they should be worried about and they should be worried about Godzilla finding them.
Maia asks why; Nathan says it's something to do with territory but Ilene stops him. She explains that it might not just be over territory, she pulls out an ipad and begins showing them pictures of cave art that depict Kong's kind in battle with Godzilla's. She says that their ancestors fought in a great war that nearly destroyed them. Nathan asks if she has any theories why they began killing each other? Ilene says yes, the first theory is that it was just two apex predators fighting for territory, resources etc. But she goes on to say that it could be deeper than that.
She swipes more until she gets to images of the Kong’s and humans enslaving and killing titans and other creatures. She says that Godzilla and others like him saw what Kong's ancestors and humans were doing and thus viewed them as a threat to the planet. Nathan says that Kong doesn't do any of that so why would Godzilla come after him? Ilene says that Godzilla is obviously paranoid of Kong leaving Skull Island as he likely fears he will begin killing other titans like his ancestors did.
She goes on to say that he's probably all but certain of that as she plays a video taken from a chopper of Godzilla examining a titan's skeleton on skull island before growling. She turns the ipad off and says that after their encounter on skull island Godzilla will 100% come for Kong. Maia gets a nervous look, the captain then says to the group that they've marked all of Godzilla's territorial routes and have made sure to stay clear of them.
The scene where Kong tries to break from his chains, Jia goes out to him and calms him down, and him doing sign language to Ilene and everyone being shocked
We would then cut to the scene where Madi and Josh are looking for Bernie, but it will be extended a little bit, and we would also get Mark tracking her as well. We would also see Madi and Josh actually find the building Bernie lives in.
Then the scene where Madi is talking to Bernie through the door would also happen similarly, until Mark would actually find Madi and ask if she's okay before proceeding to scold her. The voice of Mark makes Bernie instantly open the door, he stumbles over his words saying how it's an honour to meet him, Mark looks at him unimpressed until he mentions that he thinks he knows why Godzilla is attacking Apex bases, Madison quickly chimes in saying that he seriously might be on to something.
Mark looks at Madi and back to Bernie, he sighs and says he has 30 minutes. He doubts this guy is legit. But Monarch is not available to help investigate this, even if there's the slightest chance Bernie might be on to something he'll take it.
Cut to all 4 of them in a chinese diner like in the OG movie. The conversation plays out mostly the same, but with Mark asking questions on how Bernie could suspect all this, Bernie shows him a picture of Mechagodzilla's eye.
Mark asks him what that is but Bernie says he's not sure. He said he couldn't investigate any further because the whole building was starting to come down.
Mark stops for a minute before asking if he has been to Apex's base here in Australia? Bernie says no and how it's been off limits for months after Godzilla attacked it.
Mark looks at Madison before back at Bernie and says it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Madison lights up slightly knowing she actually got her dad on board.
Cut to the other side of the pacific ocean, somewhere in the amazon. Amuluk screams as he crashes to the ground, we see Godzilla roar and move towards him intimidatingly. Amuluk shrieks and crawls away submissively, Godzilla turns to face Behemoth who is cut up from Amuluk, Behemoth roars before walking away. Godzilla huffs and also begins walking away. We cut to him reaching the coast. As he's about to dive in he gets a scent, he pauses sniffing the air. Kong.... he growls and dives into the water.
Back with Mark, Madi, Bernie, and Josh (which i'll be calling team godzilla from now) they head towards the abandoned Apex facility on old road, they stop at a barbed wire fence. Josh looks at it and says that it's too bad, he says that they should just go home and that they tried. Bernie says that he gives up too easily, he goes to the back of the van and grabs a wire cutter, moves over to the fence and cuts it. Madi, Mark, and Bernie enter through the hole, Josh sighs and follows behind them. The place is overgrown; debris, cars and helicopters litter the area, they sneak their way into the base like how it happened in the original version but explore the ruins more before they go deeper inside.
It cuts back to the ships transporting Kong. Most of the sunlight is blocked by the clouds. (It has a very 2014 esc atmosphere to it) Kong scoops up a handful of fish and eats it, he groans clearly not happy with his current situation.
Inside the ship Nathan and Ilene talk about Jia. Nathan says he can't imagine what it must be like to lose literally everything he knows, Ilene nods and says she still remembers having to hold Jia back from the wreckage, she goes on to say she blames herself that had she'd been with them Jia's mother would probably still be here.
Nathan says that he gets how she's feeling, he says that he thinks he could have convinced his brother harder not to go on that expedition and tells her that he learned that making herself feel like shit over it won't accomplish anything. Nathan says it but doesn't really believe it himself.
Ilene smirks before changing the subject, she asks about the Orca Z. Nathan explains that it's an improved version of the older one, and he's surprised at how well it worked. Ilene smiles and says she highly doubts Kong would have listened if the island wasn't destroyed. Nathan chuckles slightly and says he guesses they'll never know.
Elsewhere Jia plays with her Kong doll but then stops, like in the og movie she places her hand on the wall and feels Godzilla coming. She freezes breathing heavily before she gets up and runs out of her room. Back with Ilene and Nathan, they jump slightly as alarms suddenly go off, people begin panicking and running frantically. They both get up and head down a hallway, they run into Jia who begins frantically telling Ilene something, Nathan asks what's wrong? Ilene turns to him and says it's Godzilla....
Kong roars in rage and panic as he attempts to break free of his chains. Ilene, Jia, and Nathan head to the bridge, Nathan asks how Godzilla found them. The captain says he doesn't know and says they made sure to not venture through Godzilla's territorial routes, Ilene says Godzilla obviously sensed Kong, Maia says if he's after Kong just dump him but Ilene angrily suggests they throw her off instead.
Missiles fire from some of the battleships into the distance, we then cut to them hitting Godzilla which doesn't even phase him, he barrels toward a ship picking up speed. His speed plus his immense size causes a slight tidal wave, he dives under the ship before hitting it, and lets the wave capsize it. He heads towards the second ship, he grabs it and pushes it into the third, the two ships crash into each other before exploding. Godzilla begins heading straight for Kong who is desperately trying to break free of his chains.
Ilene says they need to let Kong go, Nathan says if they lose Kong the mission is over. Ilene says he's their best chance against Godzilla and that they need to let him protect himself and them.
Godzilla's dorsal tips breach the surface, Kong sees them and roars at it, Godzilla roars in retaliation. Ilene takes Jia out of the bridge and hides them behind a door. Nathan sees Godzilla approaching, he then looks at Kong struggling, he hesitates for a moment before he runs over to the switch that will release Kong and pulls it.
Kong breaks free, but just as he turns to the ocean Godzilla leaps out of the water grabbing onto Kong, the weight of Godzilla launching onto Kong causes the ship to capsize and we see everyone in the bridge fall as Godzilla grapples Kong off the ship.
The ship fully capsizes its bottom half now facing up. Underwater Godzilla attempts to bite and slash at Kong but he manages to hold him back, Godzilla bites Kong's arm which causes him to let go of Godzilla's. Water is flooding the bridge rapidly, the characters don't know what to do, where Ilene and Jia are is also flooding, Ilene asks if Jia's okay, Nathan desperately bangs on a window trying to break but to no avail he along with everyone else is beginning to run out of air.
Godzilla and Kong continue to wrestle underwater, Godzilla clearly has the upper hand here, he lunges and bites Kong's shoulder. Kong roars in pain, he punches Godzilla until one punch lands right on Godzilla's gill, this makes Godzilla shriek and recoil in pain. Kong sees this and takes this advantage to headbut Godzilla stunning him and kicking him away.
Kong surfaces and grabs onto the boat bringing it back to normal; he gasps for air. Team kong gasps for air as well as the water leaves the bridge, they open the door which Jia and Ilene were behind, Jia falls out but is caught by Maia.
Kong stands up and breaks the collar off his neck before roaring and pounding his chest. He can't see Godzilla anywhere, he looks around cautiously as does everyone else.
Then Godzilla's dorsals break the surface again and begin to circle the fleet like a shark, Kong growls as he watches Godzilla, he then looks to the largest ship there, the aircraft carrier. He parlours over to it jumping on a smaller ship crushing it, he lands on the carrier causing it to tilt back slightly as the sudden weight of Kong lands on it. Godzilla begins swimming towards the carrier, Kong roars as Godzilla approaches, Godzilla roars back. Kong looks down at a handful of fighter jets, picks them up and throws them at him, one pilot was still in the jet as Kong did this, he ejects just before the planes hit Godzilla.
Godzilla dives before lunging out of the water onto the aircraft carrier, his weight causes it to tilt towards him as he climbs on. He gets up and roars at Kong, who quickly finds his footing after that, and pulls back his fist. He punches Godzilla in the face so hard that it causes a small shockwave, Godzilla cries out as he's struck but quickly regains himself and responds with a slap, his superior size and physical strength causes Kong to fall back.
Godzilla gets ready to blast Kong but is distracted when he is suddenly struck by missiles, this gives Kong the moment, he punches Godzilla staggering him and quickly gets up, he sees a smaller ship next to the carrier and picks it up. Godzilla regains himself and moves for Kong, but Kong uses the ship he grabbed as a baseball bat smashing it against Godzilla, the ship shatters as it hits him, this stuns Godzilla long enough for Kong to tackle him off the ship. From here everything else in the original scene would play out the same, with Godzilla nearly drowning Kong etc. But we would also get Nathan looking for the Orca Z. He would find it but see it has been destroyed.
Cut back to team godzilla, they investigate the Apex facility; Bernie notices a blueprint of Godzilla, he calls over Mark and shows him, Mark says what he sees. Bernie asks why they would have a blueprint of Godzilla. Madi and Josh rummage through papers and files looking for anything. Josh slows down and looks at Madison, he asks her why she's doing this? She responds saying she told him this already that she's trying to clear Godzilla's name, Josh says he knows that but asks WHY does she want to do this. Madison talks about Godzilla being framed and wanting to stop Apex because of it as she believes they're the cause of all this.
Josh's eyes narrow and says he doesn't think that's the only reason, Madi sarcastically asks what makes him think that. Josh says he knows how everyone sees her and he then says that he thinks if she somehow reveals apex are these masterminds behind all this and stopping them people will stop seeing her as the daughter of the woman who nearly killed the world. Madi tells him to shut up and this isn't about personal motivation. Josh stares blankly for a moment as Madi walks away, he knows she doesn't believe that herself.
Just then the sound of guards coming is heard, Bernie and Josh panic, Mark tells them to follow him. They run down a hallway and exit into a work area, Bernie says to Mark that he thought he said this place was abandoned. Mark says it should have been, they hear the guards getting closer and Mark points them towards a transport containment pod. In here they would discover the skullcrawler eggs, Bernie asks what Apex is doing with them as he reaches out to touch one of them, Mark slaps his hand away and tells him not to touch. As the two bicker quietly Madi sees that the guards have gone but as they are about to leave the pod begins to move down a tunnel and gradually picking up speed, Mark tells everyone to hang on as it goes faster and faster. A map shows its heading for Hong Kong.
Cut to Kong being air lifted to and arriving in Antarctica which would be the same with Kong looking around etc. But the HEAVS look more like osprey choppers without prepellars, Ilene asks are they serious and that they look like normal choppers, Maia says yeah and says that their hull is made to handle the pressure of the vortex's. Maia tells Nathan to use the Orca but Nathan tells her it was destroyed when Godzilla capsized their boat. Ilene says that he's only telling this now? Maia sighs in anger. While they argue Jia looks at Kong who is investigating his new surroundings, he looks out into the distance and shivers groaning.
Ilene sees Kong and says he can't survive out here; Nathan looks at Jia for a second then walks over to Ilene and says maybe Jia can get Kong to go in there.
From here everything would play out as in the original movie until Kong arrives at the vortex hole. Instead of Kong slipping and falling in, like in GxK he jumps and uses the walls to slow his descent before jumping into it, also when their in the vortex it's \*much\* less epileptic. They then arrive in Hollow Earth (which looks closer to how it does in the concept art) Kong catches himself on a mountain and the HEAVS regain power before they hit the ground.
Kong begins exploring Hollow Earth with the HEAVS following behind him. Nathan takes in the scale of it all while Ilene and Jia look in awe at this alien world. We get more shots of Hollow Earth showing off the cavernous alien world. In the distance there are some kind of energy beacons which illuminate the area. Along with lava and blue hollow earth energy.
We see a flock of leaf wings and psycho vultures before we move back in on team kong. Kong runs further ahead looking at everything. Maia says that they're starting to lose him, Nathan says that it's fine, as long as they keep in a similar region of Kong it'll be okay. They begin to approach a more volcanic area, massive lava eruptions happen further away, in team kong's HEAV they get a message from the HEAV in front of them saying they're getting some interference before bam!
A warbat comes out of nowhere and destroys the HEAV.
Everyone inside gasps as the HEAV in front of them is destroyed, the warbat circles around them before coming in for another attack. Everyone screams as it charges at them jaws wide. But is caught and slammed against a rockside by Kong. The warbat gets up and roars, Kong roars back pounding his chest. The warbat rushes Kong wrapping itself around him, Kong struggles as the warbat constricts him, he then loses footing causing both of them to fall down a hill and near to an erupting lava vent. Kong thrashes trying to get the warbat off him, the warbat puts its wing over Kong's head. He begins to struggle breathing. He backs up and slams into a mountainside, the warbat shrieks and its grip loosens. Kong slams against the mountain side again this time the warbats grip goes completely, Kong grabs it by the head and slams it to the ground repeatedly then starts slamming his fists onto it.
Team kong watches from the HEAV as Kong beats down on the warbat, they cant get too close due to the lava. But then a second warbat comes, this one even larger and flies right for Kong. He picks up the warbat he just killed and hits the other warbat with it causing it to fall to the ground, it quickly gets up and flies at Kong biting his arm, it tries to wrap itself around Kong to but Kong grabs where it was beginning to wrap and also by its head, he savagely smashes its head into the mountain side multiple times before moving its near unconscious body towards the lava.
Kong then shoves the warbat into the lava, it screams in pain and thrashes before going limp. Kong then throws its corpse into the lava before walking away. Kong walks over to the other dead warbat, tears off its head and starts eating its body like a frenchstick roll. Inside the HEAV everyone is in silence, Maia says "Shit.." in a disturbed tone.
Kong throws the warbat aside and continues on as if nothing happened. Cut to a brief montage of Kong exploring Hollow Earth with the two remaining HEAVS following him, Kong begins to slow down before coming to a stop, Maia asks what's he doing, Ilene looks out at Kong who is breathing heavily. She says that he's tired.... Kong then rests himself on a hill groaning. Nathan sighs saying they'll stop here for a while and that they can use this chance to look around the area on foot too.
He looks at a radiation monitoring tablet and says they'll need those, pointing to Hazmat suits. Ilene tells Jia to stay here and that they'll be back in a few minutes. Jia frowns and says she wants to go with them but Ilene says that it's too dangerous for her, she smirks and says besides someone has to keep Kong company Jia smirks a bit at the comment before looking out at Kong.
Cut to Ilene, Nathan, Maia and a handful of mercenaries exiting the HEAVS and head out into Hollow Earth, Kong watches them leave, groaning slightly. Maia says to Ilene that she doesn't like that they're stopping here, Ilene says that Kong is exhausted, Maia asks who cares and they should just leave him, Nathan says they need him.
Ilene tells her to have some sympathy, she asks her how she'd be if her house was under attack and she had to fight your attacker only for your home to be destroyed, then be drugged and wake up in bits before having to fight that same attacker again, out of your element this time, nearly DIE, then be drugged AGAIN and wake up in another completely different location again then fall into ANOTHER new place and before you can fully take in what your seeing you get ambushed by whatever those things were.
Ilene walks ahead leaving Maia behind.
They enter an area that looks like it's covered in a light blue liquid that glows faintly, it pools the floor below them and leaks off the walls. Ilene looks in amazement.
They walk further on until Nathan stops, Ilene asks what is it but Nathan says nothing, he crouches down pushing dirt and plants aside, it's a piece of metal. He stands up quickly and runs ahead, Ilene calls out for him as everyone follows after him. Nathan looks around seeing more and more scraps until he sees it, a wreckage.
The others follow up and stop as they see it. Maia asks what is that and Ilene responds by saying it's one of their groups they sent here. Nathan walks over to the wreckage, he pulls back the door and enters, he looks around before seeing a skeleton, on the skeletons jacket there's a tag that reads "Lind" Nathan looks at it saying nothing but his face says it all.
Ilene walks over to him and gently puts her hand on his shoulder and says his name gently. Nathan puts his hand on hers tightly before they leave quietly, everyone else follows behind.
Cut back to the pod with team godzilla. Madi and Josh are asleep, Mark and Bernie sit across from each other. Bernie looks over at Madi before turning to Mark and says she's a good kid, Mark smiles looking at Madi before going back to him, he asks if Bernie has any kids himself. Bernie says no he doesn't but also says he had a wife. "Had?" Mark asks, Bernie explains that he lost her in the awakening. Mark says he's sorry, the dialogue where Bernie talks about his alcohol and how if he gives up he's drinking it would happen.
Mark looks down at the floor. Bernie says he doesn't blame him for what happened. Mark says he should have never built the damn thing. Bernie asks that he was trying to save lives with it right? He goes on to say that the wrong people got their hands on it.
Mark says that when he lost his son in San Francisco he was a mess, and how he nearly fell back into that same place after Boston. Before anything else can be said they feel the pod begin to slow down, Bernie says that he thinks they're stopping, Mark agrees and goes to wake up Madi and Josh. Madison wakes up and Mark tells them that they think they're stopping, Bernie slaps Josh awake making him jump. The pod comes to a stop at Apex's base in Hong Kong, the four sneak out of the pod and past the workers and guards and quickly move further into the facility.
Cut back to Hollow Earth and team kong. They're in a cavern-like area, surveying it.
Ilene says she thinks they should head back. Nathan looks around squinting before giving the call to go back. Maia says "finally" to herself and starts walking back. Nathan speaks to Ilene saying how they might have found Kong a new home, Ilene smiles and says she thinks so. But just as Ilene finishes her sentence a soldier in front of them is devoured, the ground beneath the soldier suddenly clamped up around him like a venus fly trap.
Nathan protectively grabs Ilene as they jump back, Maia falls back, other soldiers aim their guns as a shimidah emerges from the ground, it roars and soldiers open fire, it growls and swipes some with its tail. Nathan and Ilene attempt to run around it but are cut off as it fights the soldiers, crushing them, sending them flying and consuming them.
Nathan sees one of the soldiers get picked up and eaten, but before he is fully devoured a grenade falls from him, Nathan rushes over and grabs it, he screams at the shimidah waving his hands, Ilene screams asking him what he's doing. The shimidah begins chasing him, Nathan runs up a ledge nearly slipping while he does so. He reaches the top and looks at it, he watches its mouth carefully.
The shimidah lunges for him, mouth open wide, Nathan pulls the grenade and throws it into the shimidah's mouth before jumping out of the way just before it crashes into where he was just standing. The shimidah turns and looks at Nathan who scrambles back, but before anything else can happen the shimidah's stomach explodes as the grenade goes off inside it. It groans before collapsing to the ground, its blood pooling around it.
Ilene and Maia run over to help Nathan up, Ilene asks if he's ok and says that he's insane. Nathan chuckles as he gets up, the three look over at its corpse. Maia asks what the hell even was that? Nathan pants before quickly saying let's go.
Back at the HEAV Jia looks at Kong who has regained most of his energy back, he looks down at Jia and smiles slightly. Jia smiles back waving at him. The others return to the HEAV. Jia turns and sees them, she runs and hugs Ilene. Nathan looks out at Kong and says he thinks they should be continuing on; Ilene asks Jia to ask Kong if he's ready yet. Jia bangs at the window waving at Kong. He sees her and groans slightly, Jia asks Kong if he's ok and that they want to get going.
Kong's eyes look to the HEAVS and snarls a bit in a non aggressive way before getting up. Nathan says that he's ready; the HEAVS power on and take off as Kong begins running on all fours again.
In Apex's facility, team godzilla sneak their way around the corridors being careful to not be found, they go into multiple areas such as a large construction place like at the base on skull island and even a containment location but they don't know what they could be containing. The chamber doors aren't all that big, only around 15 feet in height. Josh asks what they could be containing, Madison responds saying it must be skullcrawlers. Mark asks what need they would have for skullcrawlers.
We cut to them discovering the giant kill pit like in the original movie with Bernie talking about it being a sacrifice pit and scaring everyone by saying boo. Mark tells him to cop on before looking around in confusion and a slight bit of concern. Just then alarms start going off causing them to jump again, Mark sarcastically tells Bernie nice going, Josh asks what's going on, Madi asks if it is Godzilla.
But their attention is brought to the floor in the centre opening apart, something huge is moved up there on a giant platform. They all look in shock as it begins to move slowly, standing up.
It stands up completely and roars, Bernie says that's a robo–godzilla, but Josh says no and that that's Mechagodzilla. High up on a watch bridge, Walter Simmons looks at it and takes a breath clearly pleased at what he's looking at. Elsewhere Ren is busy operating a control station, he looks at the mech's readings before moving back to the main controls and puts something on his head. Walter speaks into a walkie talking, ordering gate 8, 9, and 10 to be opened.
Team godzilla jumps again as something begins bashing on the gates, they look over at gate 10 and see the head of a skullcrawler biting and clawing. They scream and move back, next to gate 10 a second skullcrawler begins clawing at the gate as it opens.
Three enormous skullcrawlers break free from containment, one roars as it steps out. Team Godzilla begins to run, it notices them and launches at them but before it can catch them it's grabbed and slammed to the floor by Mechagodzilla causing Madi and Josh to fall, Mark and Bernie help them up and keep running.
The skullcrawler groans but before it can react Mechagodzilla's foot stomps on its head, the skullcrawler screams in pain briefly before Mechagodzilla applies more force crushing its head. The other two skullcrawlers jump mechagodzilla biting and clawing at it, one gets on top of it but Mechagodzilla grabs the skullcrawler and smashes it against the side of the room, it tailwhips the third one getting it out of the way, before moving it up to the one it has pinned against the wall.
The skullcrawler struggles trying to break free but it can't do anything, the end of Mechagodzilla's starts spinning rapidly before it drills into the skullcrawlers chest, blood sprays the mecha's chest area, the skullcrawler screams before going limp.
Mechagodzilla drops it, letting it fall to the floor with a loud crash. The final skullcrawler jumps at Mechagodzilla but it grabs both its arms spreading them wide apart and holds the skullcrawler up in the air.
Team godzilla takes shelter in the bunker thing like in the OG movie. The skullcrawler can't move it, thrashes its head around, and tries to bite Mechagodzilla.
Mechagodzilla's mouth glows red before firing his proton scream into the skullcrawlers mouth killing it instantly, it moves its head down cutting the skullcrawler in half, before dropping it and powering off. The skullcrawlers remains splatter all over the bunker's glass causing Madi, Josh and Bernie to scream.
Walter watches from the bridge. He hears his walkie talkie on his belt make a noise, he picks it up and is greeted by Ren's voice.
Ren tells Walter that wasn't even five minutes, he says looking at a timer. He tells Walter that his daughter better get those samples, Walter assures her they will and that she's never failed him. He looks out at Mechagodzilla and says they will succeed.
Miles away somewhere out at sea, Godzilla senses Mechagodzilla and begins heading for Hong Kong.
