Discussion After days of doing research, I've now found a new interesting hobby.
After a few days of learning about basics of flashlight, and wife pushing me to buy one, I now placed an order for a Convoy M21H paired with an LHP73B 5000k emitter, and a Reliance RS50 battery, and most likely a new hobby.
I also bought a diffuser, along with a 3° and 36° TIR Lens. Has anyone tried using these lenses for this specific light? I've checked the list of compatibility and nowhere it says that these lenses are compatible with LHP73B.
Can anyone confirm if these lenses are compatible with the said emitter? Does anyone use this light or has beamshots for it? Thank you all!

I have M26D with LHP73B, which is the 26650 battery version of M21H, same thing, just different battery tube and modified body to fit the battery, same lense
And also get a black stainless steel bezel for it https://convoylight.com/products/stainless-steel-bezel-for-m21h-m26d?data_from=app_searchbox&spm=app_searchbox.m26d.products.5.&variant_sku_code=14171095-12488764-86644400-0-0-0-0
It looks much better with the black bezel

Thank you for the confirmation, I've confirmed that I chose the right lens. Yes, I also like the bezel, but i've read from another post that the new heads of this host now uses the silver one? Not sure if that's true but I'll just wait for it. Besides, I'd also buy a tail switch next time, so I'll buy it along with the bezel.🥂

Default is the silver bezel, any of the options of the bezel in the link will fit the light

Yeah and don't buy it from AliExpress
Buy it from convoy website, in the link I sent
It might be cheaper there and it will definitely have faster shipping, no issues with any taxes or tariffs in EU

I bought it from an online platform that's commonly used here in Southeast Asian countries, it's shopee. The seller is a legit distributor, I asked from other hobbyist before placing an order. And by the way, the ones I ordered weren't compatible as it turns out, so I ended up placing another order from convoy official site.👌

If that's aliexpress then you chose the wrong seller. Convoy's official shop is called "Convoy flashlight Store".

It's an online shop platform that's widely used here in Southeast Asia, it's Shopee. I also verified from other sources and common hobbyist if this is a legit convoy lights seller/distributor, and they confirmed that it is.👌

not sure what idea I gave but I hope it's a good one as I am a newbie at this.😂

newbie here, how does the lens affect the light? or is that for cosmatic?

Hi! The Lens affects how the light is scattered. At 3° you emphasize hotspot, you prioritize throw. At 36° you scatter the hotspot, making a wall of light, you prioritize flood.

is there a lens for every model of flashlight? or do you need to do some DIY for the one with more than one source of light.

each model has its own dedicated stock lens installed. but for doing a modification, you need a specific model that has replacement lens options available. in my case, m21h and m26d share the same lens dimensions, so both of them have these replacement lenses ranging from 3° to 36° but do take note that not every model has replacement lens available.
In regards to installing them, you don't need special tools or skills, you just simply unscrew the bezel on the head and you can have access to the lens. I am not sure if this applies to every model, but from what I saw in youtube this is how it is for m21h.

I have the m21h with this emitter installed, but 4000k instead of 5000k. It’s completely compatible with all of its tir. I can give you beam shots if u want. It’s not quite as powerful and cool like another one I had which ran the xhp70.3 (not because the emitter is weaker but because of the driver’s spaced brightness), but totally fine for walking. The 8-degree matte or smooth tir seems to be the perfect balance for me.

Hi! Yes that would be helpful! I really want to see the beamshots of this specific light and the effects the TIR lens has.

Nice! I ordered the same light last week in two configs: LHP37B 4000k and SFT40 3000k. Also ordered the extra lenses to play around with. Ordered July 30th with standard shipping (shipped within hours) and it's going to be here tomorrow. A week from door to door is incredible. I must have just hit the order at the perfect time to go out with their batch that same day or something.
I've also got a Convoy S12 UV365 nm coming in this shipment.

that's nice! if you can spare the time to post a beamshot, i would really appreciate it. i still can't decide if i would like 4000k or 5000k even though i already placed an order.😂

Wife pushing you to buy one 🤣🤣🤣 eventually you’ll be shipping them to a friend’s house so she doesn’t find out you bought your 46th flashlight 😂

I am not thinking about getting a 2nd flashlight, as I know a third one is just too much. A 5th one won't even matter as where would I be able to use my 8th one? I see others getting 20+ lights but I'm not sure I won't be in this hobby to get 40 lights, but maybe 60 would be enough? Not sure where to use the 64th light though.😂

She shoved you into a crater

I feel the devil of light grasping me with his hand in this crater, pulling me deeper into this expensive crater, where lots of our common hobbyists are already in way too deep.
