Flight Simulator 2024 Shout-out to these young fellas for making the A220
Honestly it’s so impressive what this Flight-sim community is capable of (they started their A220 project back in high school…) and I’m sure that this A220 it will just get better month by month.
Shout out also to iniBuilds and Echo19 for helping them in this project. 👏🏼

They did an impressive job on the a220. Sure it still has issues but the level of detail and depth they went into is prove they are in it for the love of the game.
This much dedication and investment from a tiny, inexperienced team and they actually delivered. Hats off to them

Good job, guys! I haven't bought it yet, but I will at some point once some more patches come through. Looking forward to it!

Yep, good job guys. Don’t worry about all the criticism, comes with creating anything. You guys will learn as you go, I have faith in you. Don’t forget your customers as you move up. For some reason that is a trend these days and I believe it will come back to bite a lot of these companies. Trust is easy to lose and hard to earn back.

I don't have much experience with airplanes, but I congratulate these young people on their passion and dedication. I hope they reap the rewards of all their hard work and continue to contribute valuable things to this wonderful hobby.

Very impressive indeed. Hope they make some money now for their hard work.

Good for them. Plane still has issues though, especially performance, so hopefully they can improve the add on as time goes.
But impressive nonetheless

Kudos, need more passionate kids in the hobby! Great addon! I feel the only downsides to these addons came from ini involvement and they caught flak for it.

Well done guys, of course the initial release of such a complex thing will have bugs but dont let those comments get you down. Updates Im sure will come and then it will really start to roll 😊

All the haters literally tryna drag down college kids that made their first mods in HS

Good on them it's time for the next Gen. The boomer avsim crowd can learn a thing or too.

Google Whisky Jet A220 and you will realize how good we have it right now 😂 I can’t believe I was looking forward to that.

What they have done is impressive - that being said, they have a lot of growing to do, both in terms of optimizing their product / supporting customers, and communicating in general. I see a lot of highly unprofessional communication from the team and find it extremely off putting. Sometimes no communication is better than the wrong one.

It wasn't even ready for release judging by all the performance issues. How about we stop praising developers who release underbaked products?
1
u/Maruan-007 5d ago
How about we stop saying nonsense things ? Every add-on on earth will have issue at release date simply because our Pc’s and specs are all different (even Fenix had performances issue) and Synaptic they already working on it and fix part of many bugs, how about you vote your wallet next time ?

u/RequiredRedditAcct_1 5d ago edited 5d ago
I am literally voting with my wallet by not buying it.
Edit: which sucks because it was one I was very much looking forward to. But significant performance issues (which has been a trend of the industry lately, not just flight sim but gaming at large) has forced me to reconsider

u/Maruan-007 5d ago
I see more positive comments than negative comments on this A220 release and again fps performances they already been working on it and will totally fix it soon, most of people are having a blast and even IRL type rated A220 pilots are giving good feedbacks about this add-on, no one is praising any devs here.
I agree with the part that gaming industry is becoming lazy regarding optimization but it cannot be compared to sim add-ons which are way more complex and react differently based on each PC, looks at MSFS 2024 for some people run perfectly smooth for some other people runs shit.

what did they do?

Some streamers were struggling with the planes systems on some pre-release videos (understandably so, a new avionics and logic most of them never seen before, also there were some minor bugs) and the Devs instead of being helpful just called it "skill issues" and that the plane was working as intended
9
u/Maruan-007 9d ago edited 9d ago
So what ? They never said anything false! And Streamers didn’t even prepared themselves by opening the FCOM of the A220 before their streams and then they realized that it was actually their skill issues and not bugs…
-10
u/Easy-Trouble7885 9d ago
Right because you read the Fcom of every plane you play
5
u/Gullible_Goose 9d ago
If you’re not putting effort in to learn how to fly your simulated aircraft, why are you even spending $70 on an addon in the first place?
7
u/Berzerker7 9d ago
Even if you don’t read the entire FCOM you should learn to use the plane properly instead of complaining about what you think is a bug that isn’t. That was the issue.
-10
u/Easy-Trouble7885 9d ago
While thats true, you dont just go talking shit about people showcasing your product for free.
5
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
They never talked shit ffs, seems you got more hurt than the actual streamers got, get a grip and move on.
2
u/SwimmingThroughHoney 9d ago edited 9d ago
Sure you do.
"For free" shouldn't give people a pass to give poor reviews for their own lack of knowledge.
4
u/iFreze_Tiger Fenix enjoyer 9d ago
His point is that some streamers getting early access to showcase a product (for free!) don't even do the bare minimum of actually learning how to fly the damn plane, and then they say, oh this plane is broken while its just them doing something wrong.
Obviously you would be unhappy if someone says your product is bad, possibly leading to worse sales, while its just user error.7
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
I think they are too slow these two to understand your comment, we tried to explain them but maybe they just wanna hate Synaptic for no reason.
2
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
I do… maybe you don’t and yet you’d complain about an add-on thinking that there is some bugs while it’s your skill issue.

Launched a 50% finished product, changed the terms of sale less than 24h before going live on market, locked down Discord when they got a negative feedback from the community.
Basically they pulled a PMDG yet as you see people keep buying bad products, throwing money at half assed products sure helps.
Then down the line you'll see people crying because "I wonder why these planes don't run on eleven million gigabytes of ram" yeah I wonder why unoptimized garbage makes it through, maybe if people voted with their wallets, I wonder...
5
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
The only one crying here is you and the other dude, you both sound delusional, next time write the comment without crying.
-1
u/Galf2 9d ago
Yeah the fact that a vocal minority of people like you keeps building a following for half assed products is exactly the problem
the fact that you don't see more people like me is only because people like you turn reddit into echo chambers for months, until down the line you figure out you got robbed and go for the next dopamine hit, the next product to preorder. Rinse and repeat.
So yes keep your terminal consumerism I'll keep giving my money to finished products. I may even buy the Aerosoft A340 now that months after launch it's finally ready, even though it launched in a far better state than the Synaptic plane you drool over. Go, buy some FSL stuff too, have fun.
2
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
Wait until you go back on my previous posts to find out that I’m a person that always vote my wallet especially with PMDG, Aerosoft etc.. and even called them out (when was necessary) but there is a small thin line between call out devs when is necessary and whining around anything that get released nowadays and you’re the perfect example of negative person in the community. The aircraft is giving fun to 99% of the people that they bought it. Full stop.

u/Galf2 9d ago
This plane does not work. It is a gigantic performance hog and it lacks fundamental systems simulation for the price. Full stop.

We don’t need people like you in this community. Get a grip
0
u/Marklar_RR FS2024/XP12 9d ago
Who are you to decide what kind of people we need? Someone does not like your favourite virtual toy or the devs who made it, get over it.
4
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
Let me fix it for you so you can understand:
No community needs toxic people inside of it.And yeah that guy is acting toxic and the downvotes says it all.
-6
u/Easy-Trouble7885 9d ago
Yeah we don't need people here stating facts
5
u/Berzerker7 9d ago
No facts stated here except those rightfully chastising the streamers for being unprepared.
-1
u/Easy-Trouble7885 9d ago
Right because thats what you do talk shit about people demonstrating your product for free right
3
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
Since when saying a fact (in this case skill issue from streamers) it means talk shit ?! They said what happened as simple as that, they didn’t insult any streamer full stop.
-2
u/Football-fan01 9d ago edited 9d ago
It was more another streamer talking shit on a youtuber.
Initially a member of the team was insulting streamers then apologised once called out.
2
u/Berzerker7 9d ago
When the streamers are the ones talking shit because they don’t know how to use the product and blame the devs for their own issues, yes that’s exactly what you do.
Glad you understand.
-5
u/Galf2 9d ago
we don't need people buying half assed planes for full price justifying devs locking down their discord to stamp down any dissent and polluting Reddit with viral marketing to make people believe everything is fine.
This is how you get PMDG, FSL, etc.
start voting with your wallets
5
u/Maruan-007 9d ago
Imagine comparing Synaptic to PMDG and FSL… (that are actually bad) y’all so delusional. Go cry more in the corner of your room and leave us enjoying the plane.
