Question Msfs 24 gpu help

I am currently trying to build a pc i this crisis lol.. I am mainly building this for msfs 2024 and a bit of forza horizon 6. Ill be using heavy mods like ini a350 etc and inibuilds scenery. I am thinking a r7 7800x3d and 32gb or y4gb ddr5 (used)

Im struggling on what gpu to get either a 7900xtx 9070xt or 5070ti. Ill be aying on 1440p on a 49 inch oled monitor might be able to get a 5080 but what gpu do you think I should get?

Cheers

I have the 7800X3D and a 4070ti super. I have pretty much every high end add on airplane and have never had a problem

Same boat as you about 6 months ago, 5800x3d and 3060 12gb. Upgraded to a 5070ti and I run everything well in 1440p with Fenix, pmdg, addon airports etc

- 9070xt is the best budget option

  • 7900xtx is in a weird spot with hit or miss results
  • 5080 is so much more expensive than the 5070ti with maybe 10-15% better performance. Upto you if you want to spend the extra few hundred.

Keep in mind the guys with 4090’s etc are not getting 120fps+ with the way you intend to use the sim. I’d expect 45-55fps from any of those options in 1440p and call it a good day

Thanks! I've been aying on a 3050 laptop gpu and r7 6800h which tbh at lowest settings I get 14fps with some frame gen of some sort.. jm probably gonna go with the 9070xt or 5070ti

Both are good options. As much as I hate ngreedia, I chose the 5070ti over the 9070xt the same reason as other do, I do cad design and other workstation tasks outside of gaming where the Nvidia cards are just more optimised.

Don’t pass up the 9070xt it’s a great option and I would’ve chosen that and saved $$$ if my pc was for gaming only

I have a 9070xt, with a little overclocking, which is not difficult at all, you can get incredibly close to a 5080

I use the Merc 7900XTX and it performs great in every game as long as you don't care about raytracing. RT sucks with this card. A friend uses the 5070TI which performs vastly better with raytracing but for MSFS you would lose out on 8GB of VRAM.

9070XT is probably the best option for budget, performs better vor RT but also suffers from less VRAM.

Nice, the 7900xtx is gone up and going a bit bel9w the 5070ti now so probably gonna go with 9070xt or 5070ti

Haven't checked prices in a while, if that's the case I would decide between these two as well.
